1966 Sunbeam Alpine Series 5 for sale

This is a 1966 Series 5 Alpine that I purchase in 8/09 from Dr John Simpson's son after the Dr's passing in New Mexico. Dr Simpson had had an Alpine as a young man and wanted another. He purchased this New Mexico car and with the help of a friend restored the car to it's present condition. It is a matching block/VIN car in very good condition. I took the car to the Tiger East/Alpine East invasion in 2009 where it won best of show. It comes with photos of Dr Simpson's restoration and a notebook of various records of his work and receipts since I have owned it. The car is currently in Pensacola. Fl. The color code is 86 which is green but the car was painted with Jaguar's BRG and a pint is included. I can take any additional photos you would like and I have loaded a good many on FLickr and can provide that link.   Obviously the wooden dash. clock. and glove box are not standard. The interior and top are from Pro Prep and are exceptional other than 2 small burn spots under the floor mat as shown. That was from an Amp meter melt down (welcome to Lucas) and I have replaced and wired for the voltmeter that the car carries now. MOMO instruments of Albuquerque reworked all the gauges and they are beautiful. the tach sticks a bit and the temp gauge is infrequent. The body is excellent. a small paint chip on a cowl vent as shown and a not quite perfect exhaust hanger repair in the trunk as shown. I do not run a brake booster in my Alpines. It is an excellent example of an Alpine. I have multiple Sunbeams so I should be able to answer all of your questions. And the/my cars were just mentioned in the latest newsletter from Tigers East/Alpines East being shown at our local event Brits on the Bay in Pensacola.
