Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2) based on 377 votes
- According to the Alfa Romeo Museum Archives this very rare car was manufactured on November 12th 1965 and sold by Alfa Romeo to their dealer in Genoa. Italy. on February 5th 1966.
- Only 2. 69 were manufactured between 1961 and 1968. and it is expected that only about seventy five remain in the world. if that. There is believed to be only one other 2600 Berlina in the UK in running and roadworthy condition.
- The engine is a 2. 84cc double Solex carburettor equipped straight six twin-cam unit which the factory quoted as delivering 130 Bhp.
- According to the Automobile Club d'Italia Public Register document that we have for this 2600. it was first registered for road use in Genova. Italy. on February 10th 1966 as GE-278429.
- The first owner is believed to have been a Pietro Bibolini of Genova. Although we are certain of his last name. the document is old and the writing is faint and it is not easy to read the first name.
- Bibolini is an important and historical shipping name of Genova. and with the 2600 Berlina being a very expensive car when it was new. it is possible that they are the same family.
- In August 1979 ownership passed jointly to three other members of the Bibolini family; Francesco. Giovanni Battista. and Ignazio. Possibly Pietro was their Father and he passed away.
- In July 1988 the Bibolini family sold the car to a Signor Princiotto. who in April 1990 cancelled the GE-278429 registration. presumably to either place the car into storage or to export it.
- September 1994 saw the 2600 Berlina registered in Holland as DL-05-25.
- We found the car for sale at a dealer in Holland and after purchasing it in November 2010. we imported it into England and registered it for road use in the UK in February 2011.
- When we sold this 2600 in May 2011 it was acquired by a local Gentleman who sold it just a few weeks later to an Italian Gentleman from Frosinone. just south of Rome. He bought it for use in a film but it was then not required and was placed in storage. We purchased the car from him in September 2014 and had it transported back to England.
- The floor of this large and stately car is in superb condition and the body is generally good. however the bottoms of the doors and trunk lid edge are corroded. Although the paint has a good shine on most panels as can be seen in the photographs. it is old and cracked in a few places. mostly on the tops of the front wings and the trunk lid. The interior is in good condition with the exception of the drivers seat where the original and fragile seat cloth has worn away (hence our old Giulia Super vinyl seat cover in place). The car is wonderful to drive and performs well following our recent spend of about £1. 00.

Dear Sirs, I have been looking for one of these Sedans for many years, I do already have 2 Giulia Supers, a 750 and 101 spider veloces, a Duetto, a GTV, a 101 Sprint, so you can see that I do need a 6 cylinder alfa, I had one just like the one you have 50 years ago, but sold it.
