1976 PONTIAC TRANS AM

This award winning Trans Am is a two owner car that has had a recent light restoration and has been PHS documented. It is matching numbers. The color is the rare goldenrod yellow #51. It is equipped with the Pontiac 400 and turbo 350. The interior is in excellent condition. The dash is perfect with no cracks. The seats are perfect and may be new covers. It has a new headliner. The rug may be new as well. The entire car has new weatherstripping and door sills. All the gauges work as they should with the exception of the clock. It has an aftermarket radio which is not working. The power antenna does work. The car is equipped with air conditioning and rear de-fogger. The A/C does not work. The compressor is bad as it leaks and has a noisy pulley bearing. (you can hear the noise in the video) The car has been recently re-painted and done to a high quality. The car is very straight down the sides.  The car has no signs of rust or rust repair anywhere. The decals have been installed properly. The trunk floors are original and have no rust. It is missing the spare tire. The bottom of the doors are in very good condition as well. The engine and engine compartment are very clean and mostly original. A previous owner has installed a Holley manifold. The car starts every time. runs great and does not smoke. The only noise is from the bad ac compressor. The undercarriage is as nice as the rest of the car. It has been cleaned and painted but done nicely and again has no signs of rust. It has been on a reliability run and the motor and transmission work and sound as they should. It does have American Racing wheels on it. It should have the rally wheels according to PHS which are similar.
Overall this Trans Am is a very nice car and I would rate it as a #2. It would make a great addition to any collection or if your looking for your first collector car. On 10/19/14 I took the car for its first show to the Historical Car Club of Pennsylvania fall meet. The car placed 4th in its class 1976-1989 about 30 cars. It gets looks everywhere. probably because of the rare color. It definitely stands out. I have many more pictures and if you would like a specific picture just let me know.
