Ford : Mustang Coupe

For Sale is this 1965 Mustang. Raven Black on Black. This is an early production 1965. making it a "64 1/2". Unlike many mustangs from this era. this is a rust free car. In almost all cases there is rust present somewhere. This Mustang was professionally gone through and any indications of rust was removed before it was painted. The paint is Nason two stage and was completed in 2011. The hood is a fiberglass dual scoop with prop rod. which makes for a nice look. Originally this Mustang had a 260. which was removed and replaced with a 302 and has a new Edelbrock 1405 600 CFM 4Bbl carburetor. with electric choke. It has a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and it includes dual exhaust with headers. It has been converted to a MSD 6AL-2 electronic ignition with an MSD Pro-Billet 85798 Distributor. The 302 comes with a Weiand 4 Bbl Intake manifold. It also has a Northern Two Row aluminum radiator. with an overflow (made in the U. S. A. ). The rims are American Racing Torque Thrust Aluminum. with Yokohama 215/45Z R17 87W tires. The tires have less than 1. 00 miles on them. It also sports a trunk mount battery and hold down. It has a Muncie 4 Speed transmission with a Hurst Shifter. Inside it has a floor mount Sport Comp Tachometer. and underdash gauges. The bucket seats are performance racing black leather. with Simpson Racing seat belts.

During the build process. in addition to the prep and paint work. all windows were removed and new rubber and seals installed. At the time a new headliner. with windlace and package tray was installed. The rear seat was also rebuilt and a new leather cover installed. The interior has black paint throughout and the radio hole was covered and painted. New door panels were also installed. Both door hinges had new springs installed. It has a new Grant 14 1/2 inch steering wheel. Since the paint was completed in 2011 and the Mustang assembled the top end of the 302 was rebuilt; including heads. all gaskets and seals. This car runs super strong and is a crowd pleaser at shows. very popular. Actual mileage is difficult to know for sure. Since the restoration it has about 1. 00 miles total. mostly to and from local shows and the occasional trip to the store. This Mustang has been garage kept. since it was completed. The undercarriage is for the most part original. as you will see in the pictures. with no rust present. except for the normal surface. It has heavy duty 4 leaf springs. shackles and bushings. It has developed a small drip from the pan from sitting. so the pan gasket should be replaced. The shift knob is loose and should be replaced. This Mustang runs at temperature even in the Nevada summer heat. no overheating issues.

The glass and trim are all original except the driver mirror and drip rails. Unlike many Mustangs for sale. this car has nothing to hide. We would consider installing air conditioning.

If you do not pay the balance and pick up the car or back out the deposit will not be returned. The remaining balance is due within 7 days via cash. cashiers check or wire transfer is okay. This has a free and clear Nevada Title. The Mustang must be picked up within 14 days of auction close. or reasonable storage can be arranged.
