Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.05) based on 195 votes
I have a 1964 GTO that is 95% complete. Its a PHS documented "all" numbers matching car. The entire power train has been rebuilt (engine. trans. rear end). A body off restoration is 95% complete. All new suspension to include body bushings. and all other bushings. new springs and shocks. steering dampener. and four wheel drum brakes. This car is being restored factory original. The tri-power set-up was completely re-plated with all new parts. fuel lines. jets. pistons etc. New Magnaflow exhaust and tires. The stainless trim is all original. no aftermarket cheap tin stuff. It polished out like it is brand new. I also had the original bumpers triple chrome plated. again no aftermarket stuff.

Here's what the car needs. The original block. during the break-in was not running as well as it should. it was putting out 12 in of Vacuum and failed leak down on cylinder #6. We re-set the valves and ran the car for a few more days. retested and got nearly the same result. Rather than take the chance of ruining the original block entirely. I pulled the motor and purchased a 1964 Pontiac 389 Block with Standard bore from Frank's Pontiac Parts (will need to go . 030 over) along with a set of heads (The only 389 Std Bore Block for sale in the Country right now). They are already at the Machine Shop. The original Block should probably be De-Sleeved and returned to . 030 over. It is currently . 060 over. I do not want to spend the money on the Machining. It is far less expensive to put another block in the car. So. I will put a new engine in the car and run it through break-in. unless you prefer to do it yourself. I am flexible.
Needs new door panels (I have one new panel already that is blue will need painted black to match).  The original owner did what everyone did in the 60/70's. They cut speaker wholes in the doors/panels.  The Seat covers are good. The driver's side needs a small repair in the piping. Headliner has a small 3" tear above rear seat window. Pretty much out of view. Needs a new dash Pad. Minor electrical needs complete to include rear light harness. finish front grill. tail lights etc.  Needs two new headlights. The dash needs the lens polished. all lights. fuel gauge and Speedo work. To be complete the car needs a couple of weekends. The front passenger fender/door need to be better aligned. There are a few small chips on the rounded edges of the fender/door where they come together when the door opens. This is a few hundred dollars for a body shop to repair. I dinged it dropping the car off the jack. The car has a glass like paint job in the original Marimba Red Code L.
I have done my absolute best to portray this car as accurately as possibly. Look at my feedback rating.

This is an Iconic "Muscle Car". I am selling as is. as I have too much on my plate. I am also willing to sell it for a substantial discount to what a car like this is worth.  If I do not get the response I want I will finish it and take it to Barrett Jackson/Scottsdale in January. I am not interested in any trades. Call to discuss or make a make a reasonable offer.
