SELLER REMARKS

Cars like this 1965 Mustang fastback always present a conundrum: where to start? It's a real-deal K-code Hi-Po fastback. Cool. right? However. it's now got a burly 347-inch stroker motor based on a Boss 302 block. and the horsepower is up. oh. maybe 60%. Then there's the Ivy Green paint. which does a pretty good impersonation of Highland Green. and you know what that does to a fastback Mustang. Call it an affordable Shelby or a resto-mod. just don't miss your chance to own it.

The code R Ivy Green finish is indeed this car's original color and if you're going for a subtle look that still attracts a ton of attention. this is exactly how to do it. Mustang fastbacks (or 2+2 if you're being strict about it) are red hot right now and this awesome little green pony doesn't travel too far outside the lines to get its fantastic look. There's a small hood scoop. but it sure looks like it came from the Shelby parts bin. so most folks won't even think twice about it. The paint and bodywork are quite nicely done and thanks to long-term careful ownership down in Georgia (those miles are registered as actual!). this has never been a car that had to fight rust and rot. Up close. experts will note the little stuff such as the "High Performance" badges on the front fenders. which this car wears legitimately. as well as the exceptional fit and finish of the sheetmetal. Bright chrome bumpers. nice stainless trim. and a total lack of stripes or fake GT upgrades make this car the K-code for the guy who likes to keep a low profile.

The black interior is brand new and looks fantastic. Again. like the exterior. it adds a few subtle touches that enhance the experience without diluting the original goodness. That means new seat covers on the bucket seats. correct carpets. and a 4-speed sticking out of the transmission tunnel. An aftermarket under-dash A/C system was added during the build (save your E-mails. Ford guys. we know the K-code didn't come with A/C) and pretty much stays out of the way. The modern steering wheel has a vintage look and stands out only because everything else is so original-looking. including the clever AM/FM stereo radio in the dash. The trunk is correctly outfitted with a mat. spare tire with cover. and even a jack with matching storage bag.

As I said. the engine is a stout 347 cubic inch stroker that merely looks like a 289. Built on a bulletproof Boss 302 block with 4-bolt mains. a forged crank and rods. and forged aluminum pistons. it'll handle all the abuse you can dish out. Topped by hi-flow Roush cylinder heads and a big 4-barrel carb. it moves like a big block without losing the agility that was the Hi-Po's most appealing feature. Nicely detailed under the hood. the illusion is quite convincing. right down to the original-style radiator up front. An X-pipe feeds mellow-sounding mufflers so it doesn't give too much away at idle. and the underside is very nicely finished with a light dusting of undercoating just to keep everything safe. The suspension and brakes are fairly stock. so it rides and handles rather well. and period Torque Thrust wheels with fat BFG radials give it a '60s performance look.

This car delivers in every possible way. from the awesome look to the stunning performance. And it will always be cool to watch Mustang fans look at the VIN and see that magic little "K" there in the fifth slot. Call today!
