1959 TR-3A Roadster. Very nice and complete unmolested car with only 65K miles on the clock and no history of accidents or damage. The car appears to be a numbers matching car with the commissioning (VIN) body/chassis and engine number all with range of each other. It has a full set of factory steel wheels including the spare in the tire carrier. Clear title. It's just out of a 30+ year dry warehouse storage where I bought to restore for my own collection. We've been pretty busy in the shop and I am realizing it will be sometime before I am able to even think of getting to it so I want to get it out of the way. The car is currently not running but the engine spins freely by hand. it is complete and original. transmission and brakes appear to be functioning. shifts and stops well (without power). The car originally left the factory in the very rare Medici Blue. blue interior with white piping and a white roof. (the factory color can be seen on the cowl vent in one photo). The previous owner was in the middle of restoring it when the project was abandoned and stored. He had stripped all of the badging. trim. grill and bumpers and had the car sanded smooth and professional primed in black. The car then sat for over 30 years. Most of the trim is included. in the as found condition and it includes the correct early red and blue TR-3 style front apron badge (discontinued later in 1959 to the later blue and white). Currently exterior is in an old thin black primer and is straight with excellent gaps. The frame is very solid with much of the original paint still intact. The car has typical Triumph rust holes in the floor pans. trunk and battery box from sitting but they are repairable. All parts including un-mounted trim. badging and grill are present but tarnished from age. Interior is complete but dried out and will require a full interior kit which are readily available from several sources. The dash is complete with all switches. gauges and lights present. I have not yet tried to start it but it was parked running. Definitely worth restoring and well worth the effort. restored #1 cars are now selling in excess of $50K. Barn finds like this are getting harder and harder to find. and many vintage British cars are being exported to a very strong European restoration market. I have a clear title provided when I bought the car from the second owner dated June 6. 1969!
