1973 Lincoln Continental 4dr Sedan

RELISTED WITH A SUPER LOW RESERVE - BID TO WIN dont miss out !!
How many of these did I see in the movie GOODFELLAS or CASINO
American Luxury and steel that reminds us of better times maybe or growing up.
SUPER LOW RESERVE and realistic at that !  This car needs a new owner
Only thing missing from this car is a rear bumper sticker that says "Mafia Staff car" haha
When you hear the phrase "they dont make them like they use to" these cars come to mind.
This has been a well kept car by an older lady for many yrs and the car has always been in AZ
AND in a garage 90% of its life. Its very solid running driving car and for its age has a few flaws.
Most of the paint looks original. but you can see if you look closely sometime in its life it has had 1 or
more panels painted for one reason or another. If there is bondo on the car It cant be much.
All the stainless and chrome look amazing on a car this old. The battery has a drain on it so if you
leave the cables on all nite. the battery goes dead. We may have a chance to look into the issue this
week. Someone put an aftermarket AM FM radio in the glove box and it may be wired wrong.
The other thing on this car is that it smokes a little. it smells like combination of oil and gas. So maybe
its just running rich and needs a good tune up. but could be more. But this car has been a daily driver
as you see it for the last several months. and its not like it leaves a trail of smoke when you are
driving it. but when idling in a parking lot. its more obvious.
Odometer shows aprox 70k on it and it could be original. but its probably gone around once.
Under the car the body and floors are rust free and when rinsed off. they look great. The car took
a trim down a 5 mile muddy dirt road the other day and underneath got dirty. I rinsed it off before I
took the pics. but it could use it again.
The car is VERY complete and about as original as they come.

You could do drive it around like this everyday as a cruiser and daily driver and
on weekends do some detailing and minor repairs the car could use. or you
could go one step further and restore the paint / drivetrain. The interior and
suspension look and feel great for its age.

OUR 100% feedback speaks for itself
and many of our feedback are from about 15 cars we sold just this past
year here on EBay. We put more time and effort into our ads making it much
easier for the potential buyers to bid with confidence.
NOT MANY OF THESE Continentals are around anymore this rust free.

DRIVETRAIN: original drivetrain Big Block 460 & C6 trans runs and sounds
good. and the motors have alot of potential for 500+ hp if you decide to go the
Hot Rod Lincoln route and still it could look like a sleeper. Also. the stock C6
trans feels great. We talked about small amt of smoke coming out
the exhaust already.  That said. the exhaust system from almost the manifolds back
is brand new with Magnaflows I believe and it sounds great. almost factory.
Brakes feel good too. AC is all connected and funtions correctly.  but not cold anymore.
Im sure its still freon.

INTERIOR: seeing as the car has been garaged most its life the interior shows
very well for its age and shows well for a daily driver. Recently the glove
box button/lock broke. so we have a strap holding it up for now as a temp fix.
Dash has a cover on it and I didnt lift it. but Im sure it has some cracks in it.
Dr door missing a few buttons on the control panel. but the drivers window wants
to go down but regulator could be bad. The other 3 dont move. not sure why.
All the interior lights seem to work . but the instrument gauges seems dim at nite.
Speedo is cool how it works and overall the interior would be fine as is for a
daily driver. wouldnt need much to restore it at all. Im sure the build sheet is
probably still in the car somewhere. Probably the nicest part of the car.
Is like sitting on your couch in your living room.

EXTERIOR: body for its age. extremely straight and clean. Although someone
did rearend the car many yrs ago on the RR corner. You can see it in the pics.
Rest of the body looks nice. The paint is a 20 footer. I believe its still acrylic/enamel
and is fading on the trunk and hood some. The sides of the car are nicer.
The vinyl top looks original and is peeling up in a few areas. but again its a 20 footer.
and they dont cost all that much to replace these days.

TRUNK:  very original and could be used as is. although the carpets
dirty in a few spots. its nice and complete and rust free too. Spare and
all the jack stuff seems to be in tact and no signs of any rust (az car)

SUSPENSION: basically bone stock suspension thats been taken care
of over the years. No weird rattles or noises. The car glides down the road
like it was 1974 all over again almost. giant land yacht on wheels.
Tires are very nice condition Falken tires. White walls may look better.
Somehow a set of 22" rims and tires would look right at home on this car.

Check out ALL the pics below ----->

it may take a full minute for them all to load if you have a
slow connection. so be patient AND looks for the extra scroll
bar on the right side.
Az gets maybe 12" a yr of rain and Az very dry climate.

On Oct-31-14 at 12:04:30 PDT. seller added the following information:

Im pretty sure I figured out the battery drain. I  removed the face of the CD player in the

glove box over nite and the car started fine in the am. so they probably have one of thewires hooked up to the battery.
That problem should be solved
Ill post pics of the glovebox and CD AM/FM player tonite in the auction. The installationwas actually a nice job and the speakers sound better then I expected.
Also. I wanted to mention the headlight doors rise up after it sits overniteso thats prob a vacuum leak in one of the lines. typical for a car this old.
