I've decided to clear out some of my Triumph cars.   These two I had always considered together and I'll explain why - you may have other intentions.   Both have clear titles in my name and are registered in Pennsylvania.   You will get both titles to transfer out of my name and into yours.   Cars can stay where they are until Thanksgiving weekend of this year. but must be paid for prior within one week of this auction (unless you make other arrangements with me).   Buyer is also responsible for removal and shipping/hauling the cars.   I have more pictures if you need to see more or something specific.   Cars are available for viewing before bidding ends.   Both cars are not in any condition to be driven home even for a short distance.   Actual mileage of either car is unknown - the 99999 was only because Ebay wants a number.

The 1975 red Triumph Spitfire was purchased by me back in the mid 90's - I drove it as much as possible up until the summer of 2006.   This car made several long trips during that time period - Boston area x 3. Erie. New Jersey shore x 2. and more.   I would drive it to work when I could. which in it self is a 100 mile round trip.   Car was getting around 30 miles to a gallon. sometimes more. sometimes less.   This car has PA Antique plates. which will go with the car if you wish.   The title is marked exempt because of the age and unknown mileage.   The car was purchased in the Williamsport PA area.   Supposedly it was a wedding gift to the young couple I had purchased it from - they were moving to Portland OR and felt they couldn't take the car.   The car had been 'restored' by the bride's father - not really restored. more like repaired and repainted.   The car was originally white with a tan interior.   Engine is a strong runner. it never let me down at any time.   In 2006. I stopped driving the car because the hydraulic slave cylinder for the clutch went bad.   The car was parked in the garage with intentions of repairing it.   In the mean time. I had bought several other Spitfires (I recently had as many as 8 different models).   I am currently driving a 1980 Spitfire.   I've started the car on several occasions but it is in need of some TLC or restoration.   The car is still pretty much the same as when I purchased it other than parts that wear or were needed to pass inspection.   Anything major otherwise was done by the previous owner. so what you see in the pictures is what you get.   The paint is bad but no holes or soft spots. only surface rust.   Body is solid. looks like the floors may have been patched. rockers are good as the rest of the car.   I think the frame may have been patched or added to for strength.   I don't know if the PO put any putty anywhere. none to my knowledge. I haven't found any.   The top was new in 2001 and I think the brake master cylinder and radio antenna was replaced then too.

The 1978 orange Spitfire was one of many others I had purchased as I said.   I bought the car pretty much as it is today.   It was one of three I purchased at the same time from a local individual.   My plan was to strip this car down to the frame and do a restoration of the 1975 Spit because the frame and body are in pretty good shape.   There are a few small holes in the floors that can be fixed.   The right rear fender was professionally replaced at one time due to a fender bender.   The frame is in good condition with only one change - it was notched for the header to fit with the Monza exhaust system (which is still under the car).   I have found the doors which are in good condition and the hood (for as bad as it looks in the picture. it is in actually great condition stored inside).   I will even throw in an extra trunk lid that I have that would work with the orange car.   I found the seats. but they have gotten wet - you'd want to replace the covers and padding anyway. no big loss. frames appear ok.   Plus I have an owners repair manual to throw in.

The auction is for everything you see in the pictures -  Both cars need work. but could produce at least one really nice Spitfire. or you could use the orange one to build a SCCA racer while driving the red one.   I'm selling the cars off because health and age. I'll never get to all of the projects I have.

I WILL SELL THE CARS INDIVIDUALLY IF THAT'S WHAT YOU WANT - DOESN'T HAVE TO BE FOR THE PAIR IF THE OFFER IS GOOD ENOUGH.
