I am offering my 1969 Jaguar E type series II  for sale. The car is a restoration project that will need everything. It has been off the road since 1985. It is not running. It is a complete car with rust in the rockers and floor pan. The mileage is uncertain. It shows 46. 25 miles on the odometer. There is a service sticker on the door post from 1981 with mileage recorded at 46. 24. I don't know the actual miles. I do have the Jaguar Heritage certificate. It is a matching numbers car. The original color is black. The original interior is cinnamon. The certificate states.

Jaguar 4. 2L E-Type Series II

Fixed head coupe

Left hand drive

VIN 1R 26552

Engine  7R 6127-9

Body  4R 21891

Gearbox KE 7501

Built 3 July 1969

The body panels are original.   It looks like it has had one repaint and that paint is cracked and peeling. The gaps or shut lines are acceptable as seen. The driver door catches on the upper edge. There is rust in the floors and rockers with perforation. The rockers have bondo.   There does not appear to be any significant crash damage. There is some front support damage seen on the driver side front. I had not noticed until I was looking at the photos. It has 5 wheels with old worn tires. The glass is not broken. The car rolls easily.

The engine and gearbox are original. The previous owner said he had in running briefly about 7 years ago. There was some noise in the timing chain area so it was assumed it was loose so the engine only ran briefly. I was hopeful to get it started before the auction. After changing the oil (Brad-Penn 20-50). I removed the plugs and put some Kroil in the cylinders. The plugs were black and sooty but not oil soaked (including #1 cylinder). The compression was checked and found to have (numbering from the firewall forward)  #1 0  #2 100  #3 95  #4 80  #5 135  #6 106. I also cranked to with the plugs out and no oil pressure registered on the gauge. With the low compression and no oil pressure. I went no further. I assume it has a stuck valve from sitting but it could be worse. I have not checked to see if the oil pressure gauge is working. It has new plugs. plug wires and distributor cap. There is no battery. The original air filter canister is not there.

The interior is original and old as seen. The seats are from an earlier vintage. I also have the original seats and they are in bad shape. It looks like they have been stored outside. I'm not sure if the frames can be salvaged.   There is some interior hardware missing.   If any part is not seen in the photos. assume it's not there. It does have AC. There is a jack with bag but no tools.

I have a  clear Kansas antique title.

This will be an excellent project with a desirable color combination. I have too many other projects that interest me more.   Ask any question and I will do my best to answer it honestly. My Ebay feedback supports this. By reading this summary. you will know a lot more about this car that I did when it was purchased. I want this car to go to a good home and I want the buyer to be happy with the purchase. I have many photos and I am willing to take more. I will have over 150 photos posted on Photo Bucket which should give you a good idea of the condition. Contact me for the link. It will be available for inspection by appointment during the auction. Ideally. it should be inspected prior to purchase like any other car. There may have been concerns not mentioned. The car is sold “as is. where is” without guarantee written or implied. The car will be picked up at my house. I will not deliver but I will help load. I require a $500  deposit through Pay-Pal within 24 hours and the balance in 5 days. The car must be picked up within 30 days. It will not leave here until satisfactory payment has been made. If you cannot meet these requests. please do not bid. Thanks for your interest.
