If you're looking for a complete. top specification RHD MK2 to restore. this one is worth reviewing.

1966 RHD Jaguar 3. 8L MK2 (Chassis 235159DN). Clear title. 101. 04 mi. This matching numbers. running/driving. 95% complete. Gunmetal/Black. restoration project has most of the options available at the time from the factory. To include 4-speed with overdrive. wire wheels. reclining seats. factory rear window defroster. radio (missing). Webasto sunroof. tool box (only one tool in it). and FogRangers. It is almost rust-free--a bit of bubbling at the bottom of each door. and some surface rust in the boot spare tyre well.

Car drives Ok. though there are the usual oil leaks of a tired-but-still-trooping-on vintage Jaguar. It has a factory full synchromesh gearbox (all synchros good). overdrive doesn't engage. Diff and gearbox are quiet. clutch engages normally. no knocks in engine or suspension. steerng fairly tight. Brakes pull down straight. fluid looks slightly cloudy. Engine oil looks good. Fluid levels are correct. though they should be changed.

The front recliner seats and back seat are freshly recovered in black leather and look good. Carpets. door panels. and interior wood will need to be replaced. It had a low quality repaint in the original colour. though further primering has been done. Most of the chrome is there. some might need replating. some will clean up. Glass is all good. Having said it is a full restoration project. it could possibly--no guarantee--be a runner/driver. if you wanted to go that way.

Here are some of the items that were corrected or need attention on this tired. mostly complete MK2:
1) PO removed original radio (an LW/MW unit) and installed a nicely done but incorrect radio Front Finisher Panel Assembly (J. 28. plate 73. no. 26) in anticipation of installing an updated radio. Seller will add in a period Becker Europa radio. might have a used factory Front Finisher Panel around.
2) PO installed cheap aftermarket fuel pump. Seller installed SU AZX 1307 fuel pump with correct nylon fuel lines.
3) Correct glass fuel bowl was missing. PO installed clear plastic fuel filter instead. Seller left filter in place. included used glass bowl with piping.
4) PO installed incorrect voltage control box. Seller installed new aftermarket UK-sourced RB. 340-style control box for car's C. 45/PVS. 6 generator. Burnt-out ammeter was replaced with correct Lucas ammeter.
5) PO wanted to have a better fuse setup than the SF. 6 fuse box. so installed awesomely ugly modern fuse and terminal boxes (picture available). Seller included a used SF. 6 box.
6) Starter solenoid is incorrect. Seller included a used one.
7) Windscreen washer jar retaining band is broken. jar included in the extra parts.
8) Tail lights severely sun-faded.

Battery is in decent condition. Starter motor cranked slowly until installation of missing engine ground strap. Car is set up as positive earth--easily changed. as the AZX 1307 fuel pump is dual polarity. Clock doesn't work (normal for any old Jaguar tachometer clock). but Seller will provide vendor name who can convert clock to dual polarity and have it work very well for approximately US$100. 00. All of the aux engine gauges work. the headlamps. foglamps. parking lamps. turn indicators. low fuel light. wipers. and interior lights work. Tach doesn't work (appears to be no A/C generator output voltage). speedo works. The car could possibly be licensed and driven as is--however no guarantee. Seller left the air filter and its manifolding dismounted for access to carbies and linkage. it is all there in the boot.

Car is located an hour North of Seattle. WA. Seller is familiar with shipping cars domestically. can help with international shipping. however required insured-against-loss shipping to be arranged by buyer. Car could possibly be driven to the shipper. but delivery to the shipper in Seattle by flatbed trailer for US$200. 00 extra charge is the way to go. Seller can store the car after full payment for two months free. it will be outside in a shed sheltered from the rain. It will need to go after two months. or a storage fee of US$200/mo. will apply. I. e. . I'd like it gone as soon as possible after purchase.

Seller doesn't know much history of the car. except that it has spent a lot of time in Washington state. where little salt is used on the roads. This allows the remarkable rust condition of the body. I didn't cover every point of the car. but will gladly answer any questions or take any photos you require. please be specific. This will make an excellent vintage Jaguar restoration project. and a top-flite specification example of the breed once restored.

Non-refundable PayPal payment of US$1000. 00 due within 24 hours of auction conclusion. remainder to be paid by cash or bank wire only (no personal checks. CC/DC. or cashiers checks) within five business days. Please ask your questions or ask for specific photos first. as this is a no-refund sale. Thanks. fair winds.
