Description

This 1948 Jeepster survivor is still in very good condition. It runs and drives well and is still very original with these upgrades. It has a 1964 Buick 225 C. I. "Iron" block V-6 engine and Automatic transmission upgraded in the late 60's.

 

The heads were just done 300 miles ago and hardened valve seals etc. were replaced and upgraded to accommodate unleaded fuel. The motor has great oil pressure and will cruise now @ interstate speeds with ease. I have all the engine spec's as well the correct spark plugs. fuel filter. air cleaner. il filter. brake fluid to use for the vehicle.

 

It comes with many extra parts. servicing items. It also has a Pioneer AM/FM cassette stereo w/ speakers installed. It comes with a manual convertible top and removable side curtains. It has a heater. radio. floor shifter w/ console. It is an older re-finish in the traditional Red color w/ matching seats and interior. The white wall tires are in good condition and it runs and drives very nicely !!.

The vehicle substructure has solid frame. weak spots are inner rocker sheet metal and floor pans could use replacement as well in my opinion. I have adjusted the reserve $2. 00. 00 to cover this repair compensation if you desire to do so.

 

Few 1948 Jeepsters remain on the road and they are very collectible and desirable. Financing available to qualified customers up to (5) years w/ an 20% min. down payment. It can be paid off early without penalty.

Stevens and Willys hoped that returning World War II GIs would scoop up these fun-loving drop-tops as soon as they rolled off the assembly line. They are perhaps one of the most overlooked. but very interesting. vehicles in the storied off-road maker's past: a sporty automobile rather than an off-road vehicle. never offered with four-wheel drive This open-bodied car--an ever-increasing rarity as the Fifties neared it also has a spot in history as the last true phaeton offered by a major domestic auto company Today. the legendary 1948 Jeepster is a rare bird. 10. 26 Jeepsters were manufactured during the 1948 production. so consider yourself lucky if you spot one on the road. or at an automobile show. To own a "48" Jeepster is a rare treat !!!. They produced just * 10. 26 Jeepster's in 1948.
