My car has the best of both worlds.

First Year 1965 Car with Deluxe Pony Interior giving it the same sporty round gauges as found in 1966. I never cared for the long sweeping speedometer in 1965 so when this 1965 Hipo came up for sale. I had to have it.

This car was born in San Jose. California. second digit in Vin being “R” and never saw the snow or salt on the Back East roads. It still retains its original factory floor pans unlike most and to make this car very special over the other hipos. IT STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL ENGINE BLOCK AND 4 SPEED TRANSMISSION WITH MATCHING TO THE CAR VIN NUMBERS STAMPED ON BOTH! (SEE PICS)

Original Nine Inch rear end has 3. 50 gears. Full Drive Train is all original to the car.

You wont find that. because these cars are being collected and not sold. The only reason I am selling this car is I am buying a Shelby. I would love to keep both but cant at this moment.

How often do you read through an ad on a hipo car to find that the original engine is “long gone” or “replaced with a Fuel Injected 302” etc. NOT THIS CAR.

That is why this car will appreciate in value as they are doing rapidly right now.

Both Quarter panels. Frame rails. torque Boxes. trunk floor etc are all original to the car. The door gaps line up superbly. The car was painted about 10 years ago but shines like new. It was stripped of everything and a very high quality paint was applied with hours of block sanding between clear coats. Its razor straight.

I discarded the rocker moldings because of some small imperfections and have purchased a pair of Factory NOS rocker molding still in the packaging (see pics)

Tires are fairly fresh mounted on American Racing aluminum wheels.

The car runs and handles unbelievable! Like its on rails. No sway. lowered with one inch blocks in the rear and Shelby springs up front give it the perfect combination.

The Engine was rebuilt about 8 years ago and has about 500 miles on it. Low miles because I would only take the car out in Southern California on perfect weekends and to shows. I took the original block and improved it by having the internals epoxied coated and holes chamfered for better lubrication. I added roller rockers as well (see pics) Hipo Chrome valve covers will be installed before car is shipped. New factory spec solid lifters and of coarse it still retains the original heads. Rods and thick Harmonic Balancer I have the original Hipo Carb. Original Dual Point Distributor and Chrome valve covers off the car. (see pic) but they go with it. The original Exhaust Manifolds were ceramic coated. All aluminized Flowmaster exhaust gives it a perfect throaty sound.

Never  any accidents or panels replaced for rust repair. Looking for one to call your own and appreciate in value as would a solid car like this? Or maybe a problem free car that you can drive across the states? You have found it. I have seen these cars go in the $80k range. and still do not have the features mine has.

I had just taken out of storage for the body  and engine pictures. Didn't have time to detail it but the paint is very radiant and smooth.

The odometer mileage is 64. 33

I just bought a ranch in New York so I had the car shipped here last month to be added into my collection. It still registered in California with a clean title and white plates as shown.
