We love these cars here and a RIght Hand Drive 2000 GTV is the only one to have in our opinion. they are increasing in value all the time with £30k plus being attained for perfect examples.

The first of Alfa Romeo's much loved Bertone-styled coupés - the 1. 6-litre Giulia Sprint GT - was launched in 1963. Mechanically the stylish new 2+2 was much the same as the Giulia TI sports saloon. featuring a five-speed manual gearbox. independent front suspension. coil-sprung live rear axle and disc brakes all round. A 1300 model - the GT Junior - arrived in 1966 and the range was further extended the following year by the launch of the 1750GTV. the latter powered by a 1. 99cc. 118bhp version of Alfa's classic twin-cam four housed in a four-headlamp version of the existing bodyshell running on 14" - down from 15" - wheels.

A short-lived but nevertheless popular model. the 1750GTV was replaced by the 2000 version in 1972. The latter retained its predecessor's coachwork but with minor detail styling changes. and came with improved performance courtesy of its torquey. 132bhp engine. Driver's cars par excellence in the best Alfa Romeo tradition. Bertone's timelessly elegant Giulia-based coupés are among the most exciting sports models of the 1960s and '70s and all versions are highly sought after today.

This car has undergone a major rebuild over the last 18 months and is as close to its original specification as possible. Finished in the rare and attractive Verdo Pino 216 (mid green) body colour and beige interior. In the previous ownership since April 1998 and very close to standard specification with the only modifications being switchable air horns and a black vinyl Golde sun-roof (similar to Webasto and fitted from new).

The rebuild included a full body strip prior to new panels and a full re-spray in its original colour. The interior was largely re-trimmed in the original colour and material. including the correct roof-lining material. Sunroof refurbished. Most rubber seals were replaced. All five wheels were refurbished and fitted with new. correct-size tyres.

Mechanical rebuild included the cylinder head. cooling system. Dellorto carbs. distributor. brakes and clutch hydraulics. Stainless steel screws. nuts and bolts were used where possible.

This car is not concours but is very. very good. A full list of parts replaced is available along with receipts covering the last 15 years and an extensive file of photographs. A very rare opportunity to buy one o the bst available in a great colour scheme.
