The 740 was manufactured by the Sweedsh auto builder Volvo from 1982 thru the 1992 model year. With their generous fuel mileage (average 23mpg). eliability. safety record. bility to rack up numerous miles. omfortable ride while maintaining one of the lowest costs of ownership in their class it is no wonder they have a cult like following and still remain as one of the most sought after previously owned vehicles on the markert. This is without question. rue value for the dollar.

We find this sedan clean from front to rear with absolute minimal cosmetic imperfections (dings. imples. cuffs ect). We see no corrosion on the doors. enders. anels or undercarriage. All lenses. rim and moldings are clean and straight. The original factory finish still has a very nice luster. The windshield is clear and clean showing no stone bruises. racks or wiper mar. There are a very fresh looking set of all season steel belted radials riding on the original factory rims with the factory wheel covers present showing no curb or road rash. The trunk is spacious and has been kept imaculate. The full size spare and all jacking hardware are present and stowed properly. In our opinion this beauty has spent much of her time garaged. The interior is as close to pristine as we have ever seen on any vehicle of this vintage. The dash shows no sun fade or degradation. he upholstery. arpeting and trim panels are as crisp and clean as the day she left the showroom floor. The headliner is clean and tight with no sagging of the mat6erial. The sunroof operates easily and shows no evidence of any leakage. It is quite evident to us this vehicle has never been smoked in. aten in or used to carry pets. So refreshing.

Upon aquireing this vehicle we took it directly to our certified tech of 25 years. After an extensive road test of speeds to 65 mph and some routine service checks he had nothing but compliments. aying ''Now there is a well maintained automobile''. The well proven 2. 3L i4 MPI engine fires to life with the click of the key coming to idle at specs. We see no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exhaust. On the drive the acceleration is responsive and smooth. The automatic transmission shifts on point thru the gears . The front end is tight and pleasing and the track is true and straight. The brakes stop the vehicle confidently with no pull or shudder. The air conditioner works quietly while producing excellent cooling throughout the cabin. We see no issues with the power windows. eat. efrost. riginal sound system or safety features. There is no doudt that this vehicle has been meticulously maintained and will certainly serve it's next fortunate owners with many miles and many years of trouble free service.
