1968 Mustang GT Convertible Full professional restoration!

Hello everyone. this is a listing for a 1968 Mustang GT convertible ( Please note: The car came with many GT options like Heavy duty suspension. power disk brakes. limited slip rear. AM/FM Stereo but was not a factory GT from new. the GT trim was added).  Before I get to far into the description I wanted to mention that I have over 200 pictures of the car and they might take a minute or so to view them all. If we agree on one it can be added to the auction so it can be ended early. I also have the car for sale locally.  

 The car had a recent full complete restoration. In the past 2 years. The car was taken down to bare metal inside and out. Each part was painted separately but at the same time. off the car. which is the correct way before being reassembled.  The Paint is extremely nice and smooth. absolutely NO orange peel or pits. The paint was wet sanded over and over several times with different grades. to take out any imperfections and then buffed out to a very smooth finish. The body is solid 100% sheet metal with NO rust. at all and NO filler hiding any holes. The car had full floor replaced. drivers quarter and trunk drop off replaced with correct sheet metal. Very detailed door jams. trunk jams. full detailed trunk and engine compartment. just as nice as the exterior paint.

This was a February built car and has the factory Vin stamp still on the original inner fender as well as the vin plate on the windshield. also the car has the recessed quarter panel reflector lights. Not much longer the quarter panels got bolt on style reflectors and the factory also stopped stamping the Vin on the inner fender and just went with the windshield vin plate alone.

The car has been always garage kept  since it was redone.

Every single thing works on this car with the only exception being the Clock. I did not rebuild it. it only wears down the charge on the battery over time. Other that an it all works as it should.

The car has a 289 built up engine. this was also fully redone when the car was restored. The factory 4 speed was removed and a 5 speed was installed so that you can cruise down the road at higher speeds at a lower RPM. To do this the driveshaft was modified to fit and all new U joints were replaced as well.

The rear end was taken apart and inspected and new bearings and seals were replaced. The rear is a 3. 00 limited slip from the factory.

Everything on the car was either fully redone original parts or new parts. All the trim is new. vent window frames. vent windows. bumpers. nuts and bolts. interior. weather-stripping.  Black top. tires. door handles in and out. back up lights. gas cap. turn signals. fog lamp assemblies. mirrors. factory style A/C. etc.  The car starts right up. idles fine and runs out very well with a lot of power.   

This is a complete redone car that was completely taken apart inside and out. top to bottom. Nothing was overlooked. no shortcuts taken. nbsp;when the full restoration was done. This is a car you can enjoy for many years to come and not keep sinking money into because it was completely done already.

This is a turnkey car ready for a new owner to enjoy.

                     Look at the very good door gaps and how the doors fit very well!Look how smooth the paint is. it shows the reflection like a mirror!

Look how smooth. shiny and bright the vent window frames and trim is it was fully redone back to new!

Look at the quality of the paint in the door jams and how detailed they are!

Now let look at the excellent paint and how completely detailed the trunk is!

Lets look at the hood area quality paint and the engine compartment!Now lets look at the fresh interior!

Look how there is Shiny clean Red paint underneath the firewall pad and carpet!

Please look at how nice and clean the convertible frame is. it was full stripped down and redone and repainted correct semi gloss Black!

Even the vent windows were rechromed and had new handles and weather-stripping installed!Now finally lets take a look at the underneath!
