1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Sedan F-Code

Beautiful frame-off restored F-Code Sedan! Matching chassis stamp and authentic engine components and SC! Very authentic and correct!

The new 1957 Ford was not only launched with increased sales in mind but also to perform on the race track! With its new sleek body lowered by 3. 5 inches. the new Fairlanes debuted with four engines in six performance brackets. all the way from mild to wild. On top of the pile was the outrageous F-Code 312ci Supercharged V8 which Ford claimed made 300 horsepower but supplier McCulloch claimed closer to 360! Either way you slice the cake. this car would boogie on down the street and it helped Ford regain top honors both at the race track and in the showroom. where Ford finally outsold Chevrolet for the first time since 1934. The engine is said to have been put in about 600-700 total cars. of which about 205 were Thunderbirds. The rest were apportioned to the several 2- and 4-door sedans. wagons and Ranchero pickups. Today. they remain very collectible and any early OHV Ford fan should be excited to have one in their garage!

We are very excited to present this 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Club Sedan F-Code! This Raven Black over Gray cloth is finished in its correct configuration and powered by its correct F-Code 312ci V8 and 3-speed manual transmission. This car was built to go fast and therefore does not have a lot of dress-up equipment. The car does have a heater. AM radio. wide whitewall tires. dashboard clock. fender skirts and front bumper guard with Vee bar. The car rides on classic Fairlane hubcaps with G78-14 Coker Classic tires.

This frame-off restored car was previously owned by 50s Ford historian and collector Don Miller. the former president of Penske Racing! He has restored more than one '57 F-Code and it shows in the details. Almost every last cosmetic piece has had thorough attention paid. from paint to chrome. interior and pot metal pieces. trim and more. The dashboard and window glass remain original and correct. Underneath. you will find original undercoating in the rocker panels but almost every other surface has been restored or replaced. The exhaust. gas tank. rear suspension (leaf spring and shocks). body mount hardware. frame brace. front sway bar. steering assembly. front suspension (A-arms. shocks. springs. etc. ) have all been replaced. The driveshaft. oil pan. pumpkin and many other surfaces have been restored to give a like-new appearance.

This Dearborn. MI car was built June 21st and fitted with a 3. 56:1 rear end. Today. it is showing 81. 28 miles. which we believe to be accurate and original to the chassis. In addition. the chassis stamp matches the VIN. The car will come with a Supercharger manual. as well as a binder full of literature pertaining to the specification of the motor. In an era when most automobile manufacturers were offering at least mild performance-oriented engine options. the F-Code was downright fast. Because of its racing legacy and limited street production. they remain among the most collectible mid-50s Fords.
