1960 Triumph TR3 Convertible PROJECT BARN FIND CAR
No Reserve. Don't Wait to bid as. nbsp;Car is locally advertised so in the event an offer is accepted. I reserve right to end auction early. I will be happy to answer any questions. Just email them. I also encourage the prospective buyers to view the car first if possible? Or have someone look at it for you.
As with most old cars there is a story as to why anyone would stop driving such a cool car.  Well this car was just pulled from a Barn that it had sat untouched for over 30 years.  30 years ago the car was sitting in the drive when a large tree branch from above broke off and landed on the Windshield/Top of the car.  The branch broke the windshield and smashed the steering wheel in. along with denting the door and the convertible top frame. A Claim was turned into insurance and they wrote off the loss.  The owner bought it back from the insurance company with a (SALVAGE Title) and got ready to restore her to new condition.  Many new parts were ordered such as:
New Interior Floor MetalNew Rocker Metal with Body MountsNew Rocker Outter PanelsNew Rear Facia Section MetalUsed windshield with chrome trim etc.
All these Metal items are still in their Original Boxes. Some have slight surface rust but nothing that cannot be lighly sanded and primered to look new. (SEE PHOTOS )
As with life things change fast and this car was put away before any restoration had started other than taking appart some misc. parts. unbolting the body. fenders. floors etc. Then it was stored 30+yrs ago in barn only to sit there until last week.  Now it is ready for someone to bring her back to life.  71k original miles.  The following is a brief description of the car.  Keep in mind this is a full project car being SOLD "as is" with NO RESERVE.  Title is salvage so be sure to check your state for registration guidelines on this type of title.
Interior:
Seats are original real leather but could use recovered.  Door panels need covers. No Carpet.  Gauge cluster is in ok shape. All gauges are present in cluster and original (Jager).  Steering wheel is still dented in from tree.
Exterior:
Car is red but looks to be originally white or off white in color. This car is in need of full restoration.  The body panels have rust in the typical spots such as the rockers on both sides. ops of the rear fender wells. As listed above many new metal pieces come with the car.  The frame appears to be in good shape with no rust spots. Looks very Solid. Doors are very solid no rust. All metal body parts for this car are readily available after market for low cost.   Chrome on Front and Rear Bumpers is driver quality and needs re-dipped.  A few fenders have had some filler repairs in past. Engine: Believed to be the Original 4 cylinder motor.  We have not attempted to start this car as the carbs are off in a separate box.  Engine does have oil in it and it ran fine when parked but that was 30 + yrs ago.
CONVERTIBLE TOP:
Top frame is still dented from the tree.  Looks like it can be straightened.  Original top fabric needs replaced.
SUMMARY…Good RARE project car!   I have tried to be very detailed and describe all I know about car. Appears to be everything present to put back together but I am not 100% on every nut and bolt.  Buyer should expect the possibility of minor items missing.  Email questions. Thanks!
