Jeep : CJ SL

1983 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler SL. 4. 2 6 cylinder. Howell efi. 5 speed manual. a/c. power steering. power brakes. 20 gallon fuel tank. hardtop.  Factory original colors. olympic white exterior with nutmeg interior. I have owned since 2006 driven nearly 3000 miles and has been a continuous project/toy.  No bed liner.  All lights. equipment operate correctly.  Runs and drives excellent. Always garaged since 2006.  
Body/Frame:  Original steel repainted olympic white with nutmeg Phoenix Graphics decal kit.  Powder coated steps with new non slip tread.  Re-chromed front bumper. oem mirror arms. and spare tire latch.  Rear bumper is NOS with end caps.  It does have a blemish in chrome near the hitch.  New Mopar grille cover with Laredo pin stripe.  New Mopar frame cover.  Original Grote turn signal light covers.  Excellent factory chrome rims with new clear coat including spare.  Excellent center caps.  New lug nuts.  New 235/75 15 Goodyear wrangler radials.  NOS wood side rails.  Factory Marchal fog lights with NOS covers.  Jeep embossed bed mat.  New exterior door latches and door seals.  Original windshield frame with new glass and seal.  New under hood insulation.  New fender flares.  New tail lights.  Bulkhead has a textured finish on bed side.  Holes were drilled is the sides of bed for tonneau cover. inside the bed for seats and were repaired during the repaint.  A quarter size rust spot was also repaired in the rear quarter panel at the same time.  Someone in the past 31 years welded a 4"x4" piece in the drivers floor pan.  ????  not sure the reason but is visible.  Bed floor and bulkhead has a few minor dings and scuffs from use. Bottom side of body tub is original condition.  Frame is painted and was originally undercoated. New poly body mounts.  
Interior:  Original nutmeg interior (dash pad. seats. console. visors. door panels) in excellent condition. NOS Jeep nutmeg floor mats. Original carpet. front and rear.  Worn drivers side under floor mat.  Original paint uncut dash panel with original radio and mounting bracket. NOS speakers with fabric cover. Rewrapped leather Laredo steering wheel.  Intermittent windshield wipers.  Air conditioning has been replaced with a complete new unit.  Top has been retextured inside and out to original specs. new window seal.  Un-cracked doors with new seals. window cranks. NOS door pulls and interior latches.  Chrome flaking on door side panels.  Flip forward driver and passenger seats.     
Engine:  Original 4. 2 6 cylinder with Howell efi.  Aluminum valve cover. new timing chain. motor mounts. water pump. oil pan and rear main seals. belts. hoses. radiator. heater core. starter. starter solenoid. alternator and red top optima battery.  NOS battery tray.  Original type exhaust with catalytic converter and muffler.  Passes TX inspection and had great #'s on the sniffer when required.
Drivetrain:  Rebuilt T5 transmission with NOS main shaft. new clutch. throw out bearing. pressure plate. new bearings. seals in transfer case.  Axles (3:31 gears open) have been disassembled. powder coated satin black and rebuilt with new seals bearing wheel cylinders and brakes.  Front axle bearings were replaced as necessary new seals. calipers. ball joints and tie rod ends.  Leaf springs were disassembled and powder coated satin black and reassembled with poly bushing.  Powder coated front and rear driveshafts.  New oem type shocks.  Stainless brake lines on rear axle.  Rebuilt power steering gear box with new lines.  All parts below the frame or bolted to the frame have been removed and powder coated.
