1952 Jaguar XK120 Fixed Head Coupe. A complete. virtually rust free Jaguar recently discovered after over 40 years dry storage in California and Colorado. The car still displays the California black plates from 1972. when the car was last driven. This is a very solid car requiring a full restoration to make roadworthy due to over four decades of storage. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate states the car was originally Pastel Green exterior with Suede Green leather interior which would be an excellent color choice for the elegant body style. The engine block matches the Heritage Certificate but the head was changed out early in the cars life with a 1954 XK120 Special Equipment version featuring hi-lift cams and larger valves. The body is quite clean. the only visible rust are small microblisters at the very rear of the body tub. The doors. sills and boot floors are very good as the pictures show. Please ask any questions prior to placing bids and please read payment instructions carefully. All logistics in connection with the transport of the car after sale rests solely with the buyer.

On Oct-23-14 at 00:32:14 PDT. seller added the following information:

Notice to buyers and/or bidders. This car is being sold on a lost title application from Washington State in the name of the daughter. the sole heir of the estate of the recently deceased titled owner. This car was last titled/registered in the state of California in 1972. This paperwork is long lost. The heir of the estate applied for a lost title with right of survivorship in Washington state which requires a three year wait for the issuance of an unencumbered title in WA state. This state law was passed to prevent the traffic of stolen vehicles and other vehicles where ownership is in question. There is a notarized "release of interest and power of attorney" form for the car which is sufficient for a title transfer in WA state with the three year stipulation in this state only. Any interested bidders should be aware of this and check with your local DMV office for regulations in your state. This auction revision is posted prior to the Jaguar meeting the reserve price and I will assume that the successful bidder/buyer is aware of this and is willing to follow through with the transaction. If this presents a problem in any way. do not place a bid or tick the Buy It Now button.
