Let the IAAA certified appraiser's statement speak for the quality of this car: "Upon a close examination of this 1965 Plymouth Belvedere2. /p>

mileage shown on the odometer appears to be 100% correct.   The body appears to still be wearing its original paint as seen in the areas

where the paint is thin - a repaint would not wear in such a way.   Also. the amount of body damage on this car is minimal showing that it did

indeed lead a pampered life.   The bright work on the car is very nice. the grille looks new. Being the first part of the car to see the road. a

high mileage grille would show much more of a sandblasting effect.   The engine compartment is great and still shows the original "paint ok"

factory markings.   The engine runs great and the trans shifts smooth.   It shows no signs of being rebuilt such as fresh paint or gaskets

showing.   The interior still wears its original rug and the brake pedal still has a lot of rubber left on it.   The door panels and headliner along

with the dash are all 'original from Chrysler' and are in great shape.   The rear seat top shows no splitting on the top.   This was a normal

happening on these cars because of the sun drying out the seat top. "  Original floor pans are present and intact with minimal surface rust.

The appraisal was performed for the previous owner in 2002 when the car had about 500 fewer miles on it than it does now.   Subsequent

to the appraisal. the owner had the car repainted in its original metallic medium red color.   The engine may also have been repainted. He

kept the car in a heated garage.   The state required a $17. 50 title bond in 2002 for issuance of title to the last owner (previous place of

ownership at that time was a state that did not issue titles in the 1960's).  The title bond was based on the appraisal.

The car comes with a Plymouth leather key fob from the 1970's as well as a locking gas cap. which is probably an artifact from the gas

shortages of the 70's.

The car has had its brakes rebuilt in the last 30 days. including: new brake shoes. rubber and steel brake hoses/lines. new outer and inner

wheel bearings. and new master cylinder.   All brake drums were machined at the same time.    Additionally. a new and correct reproduction

Mopar windshield washer reservoir and pump will be included with the car. as well as a new reproduction rubber

hound's-tooth trunk mat.

This Belvedere easily passed its recent state inspection.   (Previous owner's plates expired in 2003. )  Its wide block poly (318 cid V8) runs

and accelerates well and starts easily when cold.   Ma Mopar's bullet proof Torqueflite automatic transmission still shifts smoothly and kicks

in with a burst when the gas pedal is floored.  (“The Chrysler Torqueflite transmission is one of the smoothest and trouble-free units in the

world. even when compared to Mercedes-Benz and Rolls-Royce. ” — Wheels. 1966)   Needs:  carburetor rebuild (small amount of gas

leaks from seam) and new fuel tank sending unit (gauge is nonresponsive—new unit is about $55).  All other gauges work as does the

radio.   Additionally. the tires. which are P215/75 R14's sitting on original performance rims. need replacing.   (They have plenty of tread but

are well past 10 years old.   Since taking the photos. one has gone flat and the spare is now on the car. )  Hankook Optimo H724 wsw

P215/75 R14 tires are available on Amazon for $61. 00 each (free shipping) should you decide to use the original wheels.   Or. you can go

with old-school Coker redlines (available from several internet sites). which would be wicked matched up with the car's

metallic red paint job.

Because this car is nearly 50 years old and appears to be an unmolested original. there are no guarantees about the future reliability of the

car.   Car is being sold as is. no returns. no warranties.   Paint and body trim are great for a driver car—no dents. but car is not concourse

quality.   There are imperfections.  The buyer must make independent judgment as to the car's condition and value and bid based upon that

judgment.   I will be pleased to answer any questions about this beautiful car.   Car is available for viewing or independent inspection.   As is

customary on eBay. $500 nonrefundable deposit via PayPal required within 24 hours of auction end.   Balance of payment to be arranged

between buyer and seller before pickup. which will be within one week unless other arrangements are agreed upon.

Except for the repaint. 70's era locking gas cap. and the addition of dual exhaust with age-appropriate glass packs. this appears to be a

survivor car with an interior that is as near mint as possible for its age and mileage.   Even the owner's manual pages are clean.

non-yellowed. and new looking.   Finding a restored. mid-1960's. $30. 00+ Mopar isn't a challenge. just as finding a rusted out parts-car

isn't.   Finding an affordable low-mileage. drivable survivor with an original interior that is nearly as good as it was in the showroom is a very

rare thing indeed.   This Belvedere is ready to be driven for fun as-it-is until you decide whether to do a show-stopping 1965 restoration or

make it into a jaw-dropping resto-mod street machine.   (Check out the new hi-tech Poly SS-X intake manifold mated to a four barrel

Edelbrock Speed Demon at:   chryslerpower. com/webstore/Exhaust/Manifolds/Poly-SS-X-Manifold)  Whatever you do. you'll have a

great car to have fun with.
