1985 Jeep CJ 7 V8 304ci 4x4 4 speed manual transmission

 

Rebuilt motor. rebuilt 4 speed tranny with hydraulic clutch. less than 500 miles.

 

Motor fires right up and runs great. Has a nice slightly lopey hotrod/muscle car idle.

At idle she's quiet but you can definitely walk around the jeep and tell it has a V8. Cruising down the highway 55-60mph its also pretty quiet. but mash on the throttle and it has that nice deep V8 sound due to the long tube hedders. and true dual exhaust with MagnaFlow Mufflers.

Tires are 31x10. 5. This Jeep sits right. Any bigger and highway driving becomes an issue. The steering is nice and tight and you can let go of the wheel at 55mph and she drives straight! Imagine that. most CJs I've driven require both hands on the wheel at all times. Not this one!

 

The only thing showing its age is the paint. She was painted over 7/8 years ago and your typical rust is starting to show. This is by no means a rusted out beat up mud Jeep. just a weekend cruiser. Pearl tan is the best way to describe the color. Still looks great and I get plenty of compliments.
