Jeep : CJ Renegade

For Sale is a Very Nice Arizona unmolested 1984 Silver CJ7 Renegade. She has 152k miles still wearing it original silver paint with original Renegade stripes.  Never wrecked still has super strait front bumper. It has a 258 six with automatic. power steering and manual brakes. Very solid jeep with only minor rust below the “Jeep” on the sides and minor surface rust on windshield frame below wipers. Solid floors that have been Rhino Lined and a strong great running engine. Some of the miles believed to be flat towing miles.

When I purchased her there was a blown head gasket (why it sat in southern Arizona unused for many years).  So I rebuilt the top half of the motor with a new head gasket. head was gone through with new valve seats machined. valve seals. valve cover and gasket. NEW weber carb and NEWcoil. distributer. battery. fuel pump. fuel lines. fuel pressure regulator. new radiator. hoses etc. She has 80lbs of oil pressure at start up. and stays in the 30's while warm. does not overheat.   Also has a new Heater Core and Speedometer cable (used to bounce wildly) She also has an aftermarket transmission cooler mounted upfront. Transmission fluid and filter was changed. shifts strong and drives great.

The suspension got a 2. 5” lift with new poly bushings and 1/2" lift shackles and new Rancho shocks. New tie rods where needed. very nice 32x11:50x15 BFG all terrains. 15x8 1980 Laredo wheels. Front axle has had the weaker late model locking hubs and rotor replaced with the stronger earlier Warn hubs and rotors. a VERY nice upgrade. Only downside is factory centercaps will not fit over the larger hubs in front.

The interior has been Bed lined front to back. with SOLID floors. Very nice factory seats. Pioneer Supertuner CD player and dash speakers. Nice older Bestop Supertop with tinted windows. All windows are in Very nice shape with only slight sunburn on back window. There is no backseat in the Jeep. Please look at my website for pics of the underside of the floors. I left them unpainted so you could see that they are RUST FREE!

This is a very nice original CJ. Runs great and drives strait and true. I have done a ton of work on her to bring her back into the shape she is in.  I left the faded silver paint and original stickers on it because I think it looks cool. You can also see the little bit of rust that is there. and know that she is strait and clean and NOT a bondo baby! I do not do bondo and respray jobs and slap new stickers and try to pass them off as original Renegades or Golden Eagles. (like a lot of the jeeps I see forsale) Look at the pics of the bottom of the floors. Runs and drives very nice. has Hella lights on bumper and an older glasspack style exhaust. I also bed lined the wheel wells and under the hood. You can tell that the brake reservoir leaked at some point eating the paint on the firewall. It also leaked inside on drivers floor. that is why I decided to do the bedliner.
