This car is located in Platte City. MO. just north of Kansas City.

I am selling a TR6 that I have owned for 5 years. I intended to restore the car but have not had the time or energy to devote to it. I take it for a spin for an hour or so a couple of times a month when the weather is nice. I will do my best to describe it. I am not a "car person". a serious buyer is better off to come take a look and test drive for themselves.
All photos are recent. The TR6 starts every time and drives very nicely. I am surprised at its power and it shifts nicely too. Almost all these cars leak oil. this one does not. It has a four speed transmission without overdrive. As the photos show. the engine is original with the Stromberg carbs. It is my understanding that the previous owner replaced the "oil filter assembly" with a modern conversion kit. whatever that means. I put a new battery in two years ago. All gauges work except the speedometer. Actually. the speedometer worked fine until I replaced the transmission last fall. Maybe just the cable? I don't know. The oil pressure holds at 65 when the car is warm. I do not notice any evidence of oil burning. The defroster works. not sure about the heater.
I have not done anything with the electrical system because I have no knowledge in this area. The horn has been rigged to pass inspection with a button that is evident in one photo. The turn signals. windshield wipers. headlights. reverse lights work fine although the headlights sometimes need the "wires jiggled" to make them come on. I have made no effort to fix this. The body is as shown in the photos. There are lots of nicks and scratches of the original paint. There is one quarter size perforation of the back right side quarter panel as shown. The rocker panels are shown in the photos. some rust here for sure. The floor panels are very solid. I have put new black carpeting in the car. The parts for the emergency brake are all included but the brake is not installed at present. A U-tube video on how to assemble the emergency brake is available on line. I believe the brakes are in great shape as are the tires. The wheels are "knock offs". The previous owner "beefed up the suspension". whatever that means. The car "hugs the road" very nicely and steers perfectly. The brown seat belts are not installed. The seats have been repaired and dyed non-professionally. The radio is in the car. the speakers have been removed but are available. I have the frame for the rag top but not the soft top itself. As shown. there is an after market hard top included. A luggage rack is included but not installed. Lots of extra parts- a second transmission. a new clutch. $85 repair manual. back right side fender. passenger side mirror and many others. The car odometer shows 27. 00 for what that is worth.
Feel free to write with questions. Come take a look almost anytime. I have a clear title. I will be honest on the good. bad. and ugly of this pretty damn cool car. It is a big time eye catcher. very few on the road these days. David show contact info
