WOW !!. take a look at this BEAUTIFUL - RARE - RESTORED - 1971  Pontiac GTO 2 Door Hardtop that is a TRUE - Code "42" - FROM THE FACTORY GTO - NOT A CLONE !! This is the car that dreams are made of !! We just purchased this GTO from the older previous Washington State owner and as you can clearly see in the pictures and video it  was his pride and joy for sure !! This GTO still retains its correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - cowl mounted Pontiac data plate and it's correctly mounted - FACTORY ORIGINAL - dash mounted vin tag. both of which are shown in pictures below.  I drove this Beauty for the last several days as my everyday driver to and from the office running errands as needed and it ran and drove GREAT.  I was very impressed how well this car handles and how smooth and POWERFULL it is - trust me this thing is a ROCKET ! You talk about a KICK to drive. UNBELIEVABLE !! This is a NICE - DRY - SOLID - Washington State - Idaho high mountain desert - western vehicle. If you can make it to Boise in the next ten days please come look at this BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC PONTIAC GTO for yourself.  You will not be disapointed ! THIS IS A QUALITY MUSCLE CAR FOR SURE !!   

At the heart of this GTO is a - "GROUND POUNDING" - Code "WS/9778789" - (360 Horsepower) - 389 CID V8 motor that originally came in the 1965-1966 GTO's and is running very well indeed. The  motor also sports 400 RAM AIR HEADS - the ORIGINAL Style 4 barrel intake manifold. ORIGINAL style exhaust manifolds. nbsp;ORIGINAL style  valve covers. ORIGINAL style "Dual Snorkel" air cleaner housing and the ORIGINAL style Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carb.  Sounds great too  with the - "THROATY" - LOUD !! - true dual exhaust system with dual chrome tips. The motor is backed by a - SMOOTH - 3 speed "Hydra-Matic" automatic transmission with a BULLETPROOF Posi-Traction rear end  that both function very well.  The BEAUTIFUL - Code "266" - Jade Green vinyl and faux wood grain accented GTO bucket seat interior is in VERY NICE condition including VERY NICE Jade Green vinyl front bucket seats with factory headrests. nbsp;VERY NICE ORIGINAL Jade Green  faux wood grain accented center console with padded center armrest. VERY NICE Jade Green carpeting. nbsp;VERY NICE matching Jade Green vinyl door panels. nbsp;VERY NICE ORIGINAL Faux wood grain dash. VERY NICE  Jade Green dash pad with NO CRACKS. NICE ORIGINAL guage clusters including a 140 mph speedometer. nbsp;VERY NICE ORIGINAL Pontiac  steering wheel. nbsp;VERY NICE Jade Green vinyl  headliner. nbsp;VERY NICE ORIGINAL Jade Green vinyl sunvisors. VERY NICE ORIGINAL Jade Green vinyl rear bench seat and a VERY NICE White Full vinyl top.  This GTO is nicely equipped including factory power brakes with disc's up front. factory power steering. nbsp;factory power wipers. factory guage clusters with a 140 MPH speedometer. aftermarket water temperature guage. original AM radio and optional 8 track player which are no longer working. good heater and defroster. nbsp; factory back up lights. nbsp;original chrome driver's side view exterior mirror. original day / night rear view mirror. good glass and factory front and rear seat belts.  This GTO came from the factory originally with AIR CONDITIONING but everything from the air box forward on the firewall for the air conditioning is missing. It also has a brand new windshield as the original had several stars in it. All of the ORIGINAL light lenses and reflectors are still clear. bright. nbsp;UNCRACKED and BEAUTIFUL !! All of the ORIGINAL chrome and stainless steel exterior body trim and moldings are in VERY NICE condition including a VERY NICE ORIGINAL chrome rear bumper and NICE ORIGINAL grill and headlight surrounds.   This car is an outstanding cruiser or driver for your local cruise night or show-n-shine ! Nothing needed on this one to drive away ! This vehicle is in nice mechanical condition and it runs and drives VERY well.  It is a joy to drive with it's factory power steering. factory power brakes and automatic transmission.  It is very presentable with respect to the overall cosmetic impression. The CLEAN - SOLID trunk sports a full size spare tire and the ORIGINAL jack and lug wrench.
