Guys this is a very special car in so many ways. This isn't your typical 69 Road Runner. First this is extremely original car. purchased from the original owner two years ago. Car still has the original B5 Blue paint. Completely #'s matching engine and transmission. This car is Very highly optioned and you'll read why in a little bit. This is a Super rare Export built car ordered specifically for the Military serviceman when he was overseas in Vietnam.  Now I'm not a acclaimed expert on these cars but I have talked to people who are and everyone is excited when they learn the details.                             Let me start at the beginning of this cars story for me. Two years back a good friend of mine in the collector car hobby told me he was coming to New York to inspect and probably purchase a 69 Road Runner from the original owner. The Original owner was in poor health and was in the unfortunate position where the car he bought new and babied for the last 43 years had to be sold. Upon a quick inspection the car was loaded up and brought to the shop. Within a few minutes the Build sheet was pulled from the car. Here's where it gets really cool. The original owner told us how he ordered a basic 4-speed car and when it arrived it was loaded with all sorts of big price options he didn't have the money for. His father (owner was in Vietnam at time of delivery) went back and forth with the dealership until a agreement was made on the purchase price. 45 years later this build sheet now explained why the car wasn't optioned as requested. As the build sheet was going through the printer in wasn't aligned properly and the option codes ended up being printed in the wrong option boxes. Some guys the assembly line may have seen what happened and some probably had no clue what to put on the car so they put the higher option parts on knowing the car was a special order Export car for a overseas military man. It gets better. As the owner was still fighting for our country his father brought the car to Baldwin motion which at the time was only a 20 minute ride away. Baldwin put a performance package in the car consisting of performance tuned distributor. intake manifold. carburetor. Modified Hurst handle/shifter and special two piece headers (all of which are still on the car) and finally a dyno tune.  Here are a few of the options the car has:

Deluxe High trim Bucket seats with head restsConsole shifted 4-speedam/fm radioN96 air grabber (in astonishing original condition still under the hood)3:91 performance axlef70 road wheels with redline tiresexport coded and tag still remains in engine compartmentobviously B5 blue (1969 is my favorite hue of this color. as you know different years of this code were different hues)woodgrain deluxe wheelwheel lip mouldingsfender mounted turn signalsperformace hood treatmentthe list goes on.

I love this car. This car is Americana. It just doesn't get much better then rowing through the gears of this big block 4-speed time capsule. I've had the pleasure to drive this car for the past few months and its incredible. I cant go anywhere without someone trying to have a conversation about it. When I attend shows and park next to the other restored mopars this one gets a crowd around it.  The car drives great. nbsp;tracks strait. brakes are spot on. even the AM/FM still tunes in. In my opinion this car shouldn't be restored it should be driven daily with the windows down and your elbow out. I do have new Legendary seat covers for the front and back to replace the original torn drivers seat. I encourage anyone who has the opportunity to come out and take this bad Runner for a ride. Any inquires please send to my email fieldcombs@gmail. com I unfortunately need the money of this sale to assist in the construction of my new shop. but I do have a sickness for Mopar muscle cars Corvettes and Porsches and would consider swaps and cash either way. Thanks for looking guys and take care.
