Ford : Mustang fastback

 Up for auction is this 1968 Mustang Fastback. Fun has been had with this car in the past 7 years or so. but now it's time to move on. Ready to drive and enjoy.


Has a strong pre emissions 302 4brrl. Transmission is a automatic overdrive that shifts strong. Rear is a 8 inch posi 3:73 to match up to the overdrive to get the best of both worlds. Exhaust are stock manifolds and Flowmasters. Sounds tough. Car brakes very well with front power discs and rear drums. Steering ratio is off when making a left turn due to the incorrect steering rack. The correct steering rack will solve the problem. Tires have plenty of life left. This is an a/c car with all a/c components in place. though doesn't have a charge. Has a small oil drip. Lights work. Wipers work.

Interior is clean with very minor imperfections. The pictures speak for themselves. The rear panel on the driver seat has come loose and would have to be reattached(pictured). No holes or cigarette burns. Carpet is clean and fits correctly. While the console lights work. the map lights above do not. Not sure if it's blown bulbs or not. Fuel gauge and speedometer work. Minor imperfections of interior consist of various small flaking of black paint on hard plastic panels. for some of the pieces were originally brown. Also Mustang emblem on the passenger side dash as came loose. Radio is a working aftermarket radio with a aux input. Dash not cut.

Body is very clean compared to some of the Mustangs we see for sale. Sports aftermarket rear window louvers. A dime size rust hole has appeared on the rh lower quarter(pictured). Does appear to be all original quarters. Rust has also appeared behind the LH quarter louver(pictured). and in the middle of both windshield pillers(pictured). Lite bubbling on the nose of the hood. A ding on the fender has chipped the paint on the LH fender(pictured). Front valance has been creased and front bumper tweaked a little when someone who shouldn't had been driving the car moved it and drove into a air tank. Long story. Was just being moved forward in the garage. so wasn't at high speeds). The floor pans and frame rails are very. very clean. I can find no signs of replacements ever in it's life. Trunk is very clean. while the trunk weather striping has came loose and will have to be replaced. Missing RH upper back glass corner trim.

So there you have it. I do the best to describe a car of all good. bad and the ugly issues. Any and all questions are welcome. but PLEASE keep in mind that this is not a forced sale.
