This car has been rebuilt and restored from the engine to the paint and undercarriage. This was a rotisserie. frame-off restoration completed in 2009. According to our records. this car sold new at Roger Penske Chevrolet in Philadelphia. Pennsylvania at a cost of $5138. This big block powered 427 rag top was photographed at the Dallas Love Field Frontiers of Flight Museum. located only minutes from our showroom. Be sure to visit our friends at the Flight Museum if you find yourself in Dallas. Texas.

The exterior showcases a beautiful Safari yellow finish throughout. The doors. convertible top lid. and the hood open and close correctly.

Under the hood is the original #'s matching rebuilt 427 cubic inch V8. factory rated at 390 horsepower. The original casting number and block pad stampings are clear and legible.

Further inspection of the engine compartment will reveal correct components throughout along with a clean and detailed core support. inner fender wells and firewall. the inner fender lips are straight and smooth throughout this Vette.

Open the doors to 1968. the push-button door handles are a '68 only feature.

The interior features clean and detailed correct black bucket seating.

The dash displays functional factory gauges including the AM/FM Delco stereo.

The center console houses the Muncie 4-speed manual transmission shifter. The Muncie is the original 4-speed for this car.

The undercarriage is a further testament to the rotisserie-restored condition of this Corvette. This is your opportunity to own a collector quality 1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427 convertible in Safari Yellow.

The suspension has been rebuilt throughout. The engine. transmission. and differential were removed and rebuilt during the extensive restoration efforts.

You can see the Muncie transmission's VIN stamping and casting numbers.

The rear end is the factory unit with 3. 70 gearing and posi-traction.

The meticulous owner of this has had it since its restoration was completed in 2009. This Corvette is kept stored indoors and taken out and driven at least 40 or 50 miles each month to keep the systems in check. A Corvette is certainly a "driver's" car. It was built to drive. This example does down the road straight and has excellent power. Be sure to play our video/sound clip of this Corvette in action.

The vacuum-operated headlights work correctly as does the vacuum-operated wiper door assembly.

The black convertible top is in great shape. The rubber seals were replaced throughout this Corvette during its frame-off restoration. The glass and seals are in excellent condition as well.

The door panels are clean and detailed. left and right.

The original trim identification plate is intact. confirming the Safari Yellow paint and black vinyl interior.

The VIN plate is also in place. The windshield pillars are in excellent condition.

TAX. TITLE AND LICENSE

We are a licensed Texas dealership.  It is required that we collect all tax. title and license fees from Texas residents at the time of the sale. We will do all of the title work. Non Texas residents are responsible for paying taxes in his/her state. Overseas customers will be charged a $30. 00 fee for wire transfers. We must collect a vehicle inventory tax of . 002277% and a small documentary fee of $75. 00 on ALL sales.
