Thisdark red / Burgundy 1969 Austin Mini has been upgraded to a 1275cc engine fitted with twin HS6 carburetors and a rally cam. The engine is bored . 030 over. and with the twin 1. 750" SU (Cooper-type) carburetors and other modifications. this little Mini really flies!

The body has been "re-shelled" at some point in its life with a circa-1976. roll-up-window body shell. and converted to a fiberglass flip front that saves weight and makes it super easy for you to do maintenance and tinkering. Sure. the Mini purists might howl. but - for the price - you get a LOT of Mini and enjoyment for your money!

 Exterior upgrades include10" Cosmic alloys fitted with new Kenda P205/50-10-series tires. small black plastic flares. dual M8 style exhaust w/Chrome tips. black sport mirrors. and a "let's-be-different. not-like-everyone-else" a RED w/White parallel racing stripes that go across the front end of the Mini and down both sides of the fenders. or "wings" as they're called overseas.

Inside. you'll find left-hand-drive (LHD) steering. so the best guess is that the donor shell was sold new in Canada. Interior upgrades include a nice Colonial Maple wood steering wheel. and a recently-refinished Rokee wood dash. The dash has oil-pressure and water-temperature gauges next to the speedometer. and air vents on the sides. The door and side panels are upholstered in a red. white & blue U. S. flag motif. and the comfortable. later-type reclining seats have nice. near-new cloth-and-vinyl upholstery.

Additional extras include a polished alloy valve cover. a dual-circuit master cylinder for added safety. and a fabricated boot board to cover the "FullP205/50-10 mounted on a Cosmic alloy rim spare tire.

Mechanically. this Mini is in very good to excellent condition. Its current owner likes to build 426 HEMI and aircraft race engines. . and worked to make this little mini eXtremely reliable - to be a driver. not a trailer queen. Owner will drive it anywhere in the continental United States for "expenses" and air-fare back to Iowa.

Recent mechanical work and upgrades include a refurbished clutch system. including new master and slave cylinders. clutch hose. arm and plunger. throw-out bearing. clutch disc and pressure plate. This Mini has been converted to all new 7. 5" Cooper S Disc brakes and they work extremely well. New. braided brake hoses are fitted in the front. along with all new wheel bearings and calipers. All new rear wheel cylinders. brake shoes and brake hardware have been installed . New roller-type wheel bearings are fitted in the rear. New roller-type bearings are fitted in the front. along with new ball joints and boots on the drive shaft and steering rack.

Within the past year. it has also been fitted with new dual exhaust system. dual turbo mufflers. dual batteries. new duplex timing chain set. 45-D4 distributor. 6-blade tropical radiator fan. new 4-core radiator. water pump. Kevlar upper and Lower radiator hoses. windshield washer pump. stainless heater valves. triple fuel filters. new right and left gasoline tanks. flip top locking gas caps. direct reading auxiliary mini panel. (4) projector beam high intensity highway lights. and so much more.

The paint is only in fair shape. and you may find you want to repaint it at some point - if you can pry yourself away from driving it. that is! There's one small dent just behind the driver's door that should be able to be pulled out. The floors are solid. with some evidence of previous rust repairs. and the support under the seat has been replaced at some point. A small area of rust in the left rear floor is presently slated to be repaired.

The car comes with spare parts that if purchased new or used would total over 15. 47. 00 based on current prices for mini parts on e-bay and mini suppliers. There is a photo and list of additional spare parts that go with the car. (See Parts List)

1) Heater assembly with heater core

2) Used plastic multi-blade radiator fan.

3) Dual HS4 Cooper S intake manifold assembly.

So what does the little car need to be perfect. Five things:~

Fresh paint & interior. new rubber around the glass. (4) new gas charged shocks. and the installation of (a premium) sound system. All the aforementioned are subjective and the next owner should have the ability to chose what they gravitate toward. which is why these items shall not be addressed by the present owner prior to sale.

All in all. this Mini is a super reliable excellent-running. nice driving little Mini that packs a lot of value. for the "it's-priced-too-low price!"
