1928 Rolls Royce 20hp Park Ward Faux Cabriolet.

Chassis number: GBM61
Registration number: DO6770

A very lovely park ward bodied sports saloon with fabric roof covering & faux Cabriolet irons to the rear. The car comes to us with a very extensive set of recent bills attesting to the huge amount of work recently done on the car. The cars come from a variety of the usual suspects including Hofmann's. Riste's & Hillier & Hill etc.

In addition to major brake work & engine work the car has been fitted with a Tim Payne overdrive unit making for very relaxed cruising at modern speeds. The car has also had en extremely high quality body off paint job done by noted specialist Trevor Hirst running into many many thousands of pounds; the superb result amply justified by the outstanding finish. A photographic record comes with the car showing the various works in progress.

The exterior colours are a deep cream over a chocolate brown with a matching brown roof covering. the paint needless to say being absolutely beautiful & way way above average. To the interior is cream leather piped in brown with brown carpets & brown door cards. The cushions have settled to just the right level for perfect comfort unlike some of the over stuffed newly done examples we often see which whilst being superb to look at are very uncomfortable.

The dash instruments are contained in the usual lovely park ward oval walnut with the woodwork being well figured. Being a non division car the front seats have a good range of adjustment to suit all driver sizes. To the rear is the spare wheel; a position of which sir Henry would have approved wholeheartedly. An original hand book comes with the car along with a thick sheaf of invoices.

Under the bonnet the engine bay is well detailed & would not be out of place being shown. The car starts readily & runs in silence with a barely audible tick-over; testament to the large bills that come with the car. It is a simply lovely conveyance to drive in. Light & tactile with delicate gear changes & a sweet engine. The car needs nothing & is ready for extended use.
