The power plant under the hood of this '72 Chevelle is a 493 ci roller stroker big block professionally built by the Brown brothers at Advanced Engine and Machine. the same shop that builds motors for the Farmtruck. which has quickly become one of the most popular hot rods on TV. The engine was dyno'd at 601 HP and 619 ft pds of torque (documented). The motor looks like a piece of art work with a polished aluminum serpentine belt system and dual electric fans behind the 4 core radiator. The 700R4 transmission was also professionally rebuilt with a 3500 stall converter and the rear end was replaced with a Ford 9" positrac 3:73 to transfer all that horsepower from the rubber to the road. The front and rear suspension is all completely new including tubular A-arms. springs. larger front and rear sway bars and QA-1 adjustable racing shocks. Power steering helps the Chevelle glide down the road and new disk brakes bring her to a halt when the need arises.
