My father purchased from original owner 25-30 years ago. Title showed it originally came from Camp Pendleton. California. Dad is 93 & original owner is deceased. He placed a top on the Jeep and added a blinker light kit and painted the vehicle red. This jeep had all numbers matching and all parts are original 1943. The frame and body is Willy's and the drivetrain is strictly Ford and the last year for the 9 slot grill. As shown in the pictures. my son and I started on a complete breakdown for a complete frame up restoration. Surprisingly. the frame and all suspension components were in solid shape. The frame has never been cut or modified and the original frame support tube (round) shows it to be a Willy's with front and rear pindle hooks. The mount for the 50 caliber in the body and the rear deck confirms Willy's and the drivetrain is strictly Ford and I believe from research to be the last year for this combination. Nothing has been cannibalized or modified. All the wiring. 6 volt starter and generator are original and correct. When I and my son removed the exhaust it was stamped Ford and surprisingly rust free. with no structural damage. The only kink we found was when removing the motor was that the exhaust manifold had a crack. We then started boxing and every nut. bolt and washer and parts of course were boxed and placed in seperate containers. This Willy's jeep is 100% complete. The transmission shifts well and even the instrument glass is perfect. The motor is out and actually looks great with the original carb.  The body does have some rust and holes but the floorboard is strong. The gas tank is solid but the inside is obviously full of rust. This jeep would be considered a basket case only in the sense that it is completely apart with just one bolt remaining to be unfastened to remove the body. The steering wheel even is solid.  Dad  kept it covered for all the years he had it and I inherited it about 7 years ago and slowly have worked with my son to take it apart. I know enough to know that this is a genuine complete military jeep and had he not added the top. it was the only modification the original owner made. All of the infrared on the front grill and all parts are their. My son has gone on to become a doctor and after several other projects. the jeep just sits in the back of my shop waiting to come back to life. It served its purpose as a father and son project. now I am retired and have gone on to other projects. I set a reserve and however wins the bid. I do have a truck and trailer and could load all components and transport anywhere in the U. S. However I would charge not only fuel but a small fee for mileage for basic wear and tear and lodging of course. I am located in a suburb of SLC. UT. If you are looking for a complete and the real mckoy. this is it. Please email with any questions or concerns.

Actual mileage is 95. 11 -- I have had several inquiries from overseas and let me add some more details. The original owner did a concours restoration in the 60's and the vehicle was running well when my father received it. Dad now suffers from Alzheimers and it was rather humorous when he told me to just add gas and charge the battery. Well to whomever purchases this 71 year old part of real history. this is a virtually rust free and truly a jeep that is in remarkable condition. The transmission and the transfer cases need no work except to clean and repaint or powder  coat. I will be posting new pictures. as I just pulled the old girl out of mothballs. I have done several concour restorations myself and am grateful to say  that when you see the pictures you will be amazed on how great of shape the vehicle is in. The firewall. fenders and undercarriage are virtually rust free. The engine is not seized as oil was in place and my father (engineer) kept the vehicle in a clean dust. salt free storage.  Interestingly the floor boards show one small hole less than 2 inches on the passenger side and is the only damage. The body in the pictures was being stripped of paint with an orbital sander. The rear right quarter does have a rust hole and some lead work or hand body work is necessary. but it is not a rough body. except for the rear covers. The mount or rather the circular portion of the floorboard where the gun is to be attached is in  perfect condition. with no dents. The suspension and all components are straight and looks more like a 20 year old vehicle. I trailered the Jeep to my garage in SLC UT and it has been stored as well inside in a rain free and rust free enviroment. The windshield is wrapped and I will try and unwrap and the glass is clean and straight. I will say that the rubber around the window wells are rotted and definitely need replacement. When you see the pictures of the exhaust you will be amazed as it looks better than most cars that are just a few years old. This is not some rust bucket. I will take pictures of many of the items and if you will email me. I will send much more than what ebay allows. I believe that 24 pictures is the limit. It will take a few days but I believe that the new pictures forthcoming will establish the true potential of the jeep. This is not an expensive or labor intensive restoration. The generator and all other components are all in working order. A rehone of the cylinders is all that is necessary and I looked closer at the inside of the gas tank and it needs a thorough cleaning with the walls still in solid shape with no rust holes. I had forgotten what shape the Willys was in and how excited I was when dad got it and the potential it had.

I have more information. My father informed me that having the MB tag on the frame is what makes it. Correct me if I am wrong but he stated that if you had 1000 original frames from the factory from 1943 to look at and still had the tag in the correct place today; since many were destroyed or switched and built from arsenal parts. along with counterfeiting and today's standard of embellishment. you would be hard pressed to find one frame out of every 1000 with the tag still in place. I remember reading an article that stated since arsenal parts and switching was a common practice as well as depot parts- The tag is what makes the this jeep authentic and worth the restoration for many attributable reasons.  Another fact. I mentioned the motor just needed a rehone. I was wrong. I sprayed fogging oil into the cylinders and the engine is ready to run. I posted video's on you tube and they show the engine turning like butter with just my friend turning the flywheel by hand and the pistons moving in perfect sync and the valves opening and closing. In other words. I should never have taken the head off. The engine does not need a rebuild and is literally ready to run/. New head gasket. clean the water pump. put your accessories on like the starter and the original generator and it is ready to fire. Below are 4 you tube video links and you can watch video I just took of the motor turning. Not the best videos but they also collaborate the value of what you are bidding on. http://youth. be/bhad9kIGbjw     http://youtu. be/X3tb4UDv4Ho   http://youtu. be/g9UuO8T9tiIhttp://youtu. be/e_HopBNxUcE     I have also created a picture slideshow of which I will be adding many more invaluable pictures. Like the frame tag which is priceless. not to raise the value but to lend to the authenticity of what I am selling. I watched Barretts last year and Wayne Carlini (not to be critical but factual) had some jeeps that were 44's yet they had the 9 slot grill which is incorrect as 43 was the last year and I wonder if either had the original and correct MB tag still in place? That is what makes this vehicle worth the time and effrort to bring back to life. I will start adding pictures of the undercarriage and many other parts including the floorboards. fenders (inside and outside as they are really dent and rust free. I will be showing the glovebox. small hole in floorboard and all angles as the days progress and I have the time with the boxes with nuts and bolts and every major part. Even the clutch which looks great and the flywheel is perfect. with no teeth having any abrasions. I just checked and you tube edited the  slideshow of pictures into a video--also if you can email me your personal email address or have a google + account I can also send you the pictures in perhaps an easier format for you to mull over.  http://youtu. be/zgpBRig316se

The spare tire. which is not shown. is an original military split rim or what is referred to as a combat rim. It was in the attic with the front seats and behind the tire. wrapped in a moving blanket is the windshield. Just had surgery and was not able as yet to retrieve from attic as I use a forklift to get to it and I was fortunate to see the rim with heavy off road tread mounted. near the ledge. If you email me at kriejnen@gmail. com I can send you close to 400 pictures. I also have uploaded the pictures to google + and my account name is Richard Kriejnen They are in high definition. Also not as yet photographed are boxes with more parts. literally every nut and bolt as well as parts to remount the steering wheel to literally state that it is 100% complete except for the accessories that I have already mentioned in a the Q&A section. On the windshield you can tell the unbroken glass is original as the rubber that is rotted has all of the original paint plus what was added over the years. I will also take a picture of the title. One gentleman asked me if the title had the MB number and I said yes. I was wrong and apologize. The title is from 1954 and it is clear. The widow of the original owner. both were friends of my father. My father was one of the first GI's into Berlin during WW2. regardless I was born in California and dad was as well. He made friends with the owners and when the husband passed away. she sold the jeep to my father in 1994. The title is clear and dad never signed it. . I checked the location for all Ids on the jeep and they used the body for the ID number. Just the paint and the resprays. as you go through the layers. match on all surfaces. It clearly (with the MB tag on the frame intact) with the same layers of paint surrounding it and you can tell that even the rivets had the same corresponding colors as well as the same age as the chassis. My father told me that the original owner purchased the jeep from the military in 1954 from Camp Pendleton which is not to far from where we were both born and kept the jeep. (it was all original and not a chopped up or depot from batch parts jeep. Why. because every detail and component matches what history tells us and that is: Willy's made the body and frame and Ford the drivetrain. even the exhaust that is in the pictures confirms it. as well as every other component being in the right place. ) until his widow and executor of the estate signed off in 1994 and dad purchased it from her. It then went to our home in Colorado and has sat under covers ever since. that is until 7 years ago. when Dad gave it to me to sell. instead I wanted to keep and restore it not knowing that I would ever sell it. You think it is going to be a family heirloom and life changes. A thought just occurred to me. ---laws change and split rims were no longer legal on the roads. The spare was painted red as well. In many ways this is like a Barn Find. Who ever knew that this survivor would become such an important part of history. I am not a betting man. but I would bet that the original owner had the rims in the garage and if so. Dad did not want them. as it was illegal to drive with them on. I wanted the jeep to become a family Heirloom but realize I am just a keeper. The very best to whomever buys the Jeep. with the utmost in sincerity. Richard

Ironically and to add one other tidbit of information. The title is from Riverside California and I was born in Riverside California and my Father in Culver City. just a few miles away. in fact though I do not remember the Modica's.  they were friends of my mother and father --- my mother is 88 and I just spoke with her and she remembers them and how badly my Dad wanted the Jeep from Mr. Modica Pictures of the title front and back are being uploaded to google+and those that have emailed me. I am now sending you as well copies of the title ---  Thank you everyone Richard

If you email me at---   kriejnen@gmail. com  -- I will send you all photos. videos and pictures of the title. When you receive the pictures watch them in order and you will see what looks like heavy rust. but the next picture is clean metal. These are pictures of the jeep in the current condition. The body is on the frame and the motor can be put back in before shipping and all parts (100%) can be put wrapped inside of tub to be shipped.
