DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CONTACT AT END OF AUCTION. I HATE USELESS TIME WASTERS. TRYING TO SELL THIS. NOT STUFF AROUND!

I have bought another project and I need the space so this has to go!!

Here we have a 1971 VW Square back that has had a bare metal respray in white with colour shifting metal flake on the body and the roof done in silver with a candy blue lace pattern on it.

I have a disc I can send out to prospective buyers that has about 420 photos and 7 videos showing the car how it started to the process thru to the finish. The videos are only of the finish and it is a walk around to try to capture the way the colours shift and change so to give you an idea of how amazing it looks in the sun. the photo close up of the bonnet you can just see the green on the guard in the background. the 4 photos in one try to show the shift from green to orange. It is really hard to capture the way it glitters in the photos as the camera only show one dimension and in real life your eyes wander over and you get the amazing effect. The people who have seen it love it. It is so shiny and bright in real life you need polarizing sunglasses to cut thru the intense glare and to see the flake. The flake changes thru green to orange. If you look closely at the photos you can see it a bit. I used a high quality 2 Pac clear over base. De Beer. and it has great depth and a super shine. I took 2. 5 years to complete it and I wanted to do it really nicely. I spent about 40 hours just on the roof.

All under the bonnet and wheel wells are like new as well. the fuel tank was removed and back to metal under there as well as the suspension arms etc but the tank wasn't resprayed. now all new vinyl covering and new spare with a new set of tools in a bag are under the bonnet.

It has all new interior. top to bottom. hood liner. seats. door panels. visors. carpet e. t. c the clock was repaired and keeps perfect time. All new rubbers throughout. new window seals. new old stock quarter vent windows. re chromed bumpers. re chromed door handles. I grafted the earlier and much more attractive front indicators on it as well. they were re chromed too. New windscreen. new stainless steel trims down the sides. re chromed headlight surrounds. re chromed and super rare hubcaps. anyone ever seen these? My local VW mechanic where I have been going for 23 years has never seen them. The windscreen washer works but it leaks somewhere so I disconnected it. its not getting dirty anyway! Seats all repaired and recovered in original style vinyl. I also made the seat runners on both sides longer so the seats go all the way back to the back seat for the taller drivers. I'm 6. 3 and there is plenty of leg room.

The stereo is brand new and has mp3. flash drive. SD card remote. but is not wired to any speakers. I was undecided about whether to put a stereo in or not. so you will need to complete that if you want a stereo. I have a brand new stainless steel visor to go with it as well and some stainless window shades that sit up top of the front windows.

The motor is untouched. I have not restored the motor. It runs really sweet so I figured why mess with something running so well. the car has 47000 on the clock which would be 147000 judging by some of the original documents that came with the car. I have the original handbooks. a workshop manual and a sales brochure to go with it. I also have and unused car cover from the states to go with it. I use a painters plastic cover in my shed as it is very clean in there.

The car drives real nice. very quite on the road. no rattles and squeaks. nice smooth ride. brakes work well but not power assisted.

This is a really nice and unique VW waiting for someone to take it to some car shows and win some prizes. since I have finished it very few people have seen it so you can be the one to show it off to the public. it is really in top condition and will make someone very happy and proud. I am selling as I like playing in my shed and am moving on to another project.

RAT777 plates do not go with the car.

Hi,
Just wondering where about the car is located and when a good time would be to come and have a look at it?
Also what sort of price are you looking at selling for?
Is there anything you know that needs doing on the car?
Cheers Tom
