For Sale my loved and restored Triumph GT6 Mk3.
The car has a great history with a full documented file of the ground up restoration. The work was carried out Mike Wilkinson of MW Restorations in Essex three years ago (it can be viewed also on his website www. mwrestore. co. uk).
The car was built at the latter part of 1973 and registered 1st January 1974. so one of the last ones to be built. It started life in the popular Magenta colour from the factory. in its later life (prior to my ownership) it was painted a (I believe) Ford yellow. I took ownership of the car in 2010 and decided to fully restore the car to a high standard. Unfortunately my enthusiasm out ways my ability. and I therefore placed the restoration in the hands of Mike Wilkinson of MW Restorations.
The car was shot blasted and the following panels were replaced with panels from Fitchet's: New complete bonnet assembly. new door skins. new rear quarter panels. new rear valence.  The car was completed waxoiled. The car has been painted in a fantastic Candy Apple Red from the House of Color range of paints in the USA. The car was first painted Ford Moondust Silver with the Candy Apple applied over the top. The car looks stunning and wherever I have gone. I am always stopped and asked about it. The engine is the standard 2. 0Ltr straight six. This has been fully rebuilt/reconditioned by Jigsaw Racing Services. and has a lead free head (I run it on super unleaded). balanced crank and flywheel. The Laycock gearbox was rebuilt by Mike Papworth approx two years ago. and comes with overdrive in 3rd and 4th gear. The Seats and Trim (door cards. rear quarter trim) are in leather. and supplied by Park Lane Classics in black. with matching black headliner. The seats were trimmed by a Jaguar Specialist in Coventry. The carpet sets was from Newton Commercial. The car has a leather rimmed steering wheel. and walnut finish dashboard. The radiator. rakes callipers. discs. trunnions. shocks. fuel lines. pump. brake line were also all renewed. The exhaust is a full Buell (I think that is how it is spelt) Sports Stainless Steel exhaust from manifold through to tail pipes. The odometer. and other clocks were all fully restored and the Odometer read 0 at restoration MOT confirms this. The wheels are from Midland Wheel. and are there retro Dunlop D1 alloy style wheels. Again with new tyres from new.
I have a full history file with the car. and a pile of photos of the rebuild. The car has covered only 1800 miles in the time since I picked it up from Mike. It is always garaged. and is only used in the good weather. I am absolutely devastated to be selling it. but needs must. I have set the car a realistic price to sell. I am advertising the car else where so reserve the right to close the auction early.

hi I've been looking at your restored GT6 mk3, the car looks very nice indeed. I'm looking for my first classic car for weekend driving etc. Do you have any more images of the finished car especially the rear of the car before I decide to make you your fixed price offer. I'm very interested in this car. Thanks Simon
