I have owned this car for 14 years. I believe I am the 3rd owner. The person I purchased it from had it for about 6 years and in that time it had a basic respray to freshen it up . The vinyl roof has never been removed and is in great condition. There are a couple of very small bubbles under it but they have not got any worse over the time I have owned it. The body is in very straight with no rust. I had a couple of small bubbles cut out of the corner of the doors a couple of years ago . only minor repairs. I have always had it garaged and did not drive it at all for six years. The last few years it has done about 300 km per year. It drives and sits on the road very well. When I first purchased it everything was stock factory. air cleaner . single exhaust system. suspension. wheels etc and it handled and went as you would expect. a dog !! I replaced all the control arm bushings . springs . inch lower at the front. shockies. added a rear sway bar and a thicker front bar. I fitted it with Cragar chrome wheels 15 x 7 all round and added a Sony 10 cd stacker . a sub woofer and a couple of amps in the boot . ith JBL speakers on the parcel shelf . The original speakers are still there and I still have the factory radio. I also removed the horrible stock oval steering wheel and replaced it with a smaller leather and timber unit . The engine had been dismantled . when a head gasket gave out . by the previous owner. He told me the motor had been lightly honed . new rings and bearings fitted . eads tested and reassembled. This was at 60. 00 kms in 1996. I fitted a dual 2 1/2 system . extractors . holley carb and a HEI ignition. I have put about 30. 00 kms on it over the years and have never had a problem apart from holing the radiator. The original radiator is still in use . the copper fins being manufactured much thicker than these days. they are still strong and not crumbling. The air conditioning compressor has been removed but it comes with the car with all original brackets. I have a spare top radiator hose . with factory sticker still attached and a spare factory AC fuel filter. Factory optional alloy rocker covers are also fitted. The upholstery is in very good nick for 40 years old. The rear seats are almost unused . the driver seat has a small hole about 6mm round in the rhs support cushion. The carpet is original and in very good condition. The front armrests I have just replaced because they were butchered by someone in the past. to install front speakers in the doors. I removed the speakers and patched up the hole in the door trim carpet with original carpet I obtained from a wreck. It is only noticible if your looking closely. The left front kick panel is missing The boot has the original carpet. which is mostly ok but split in the centre. The original spare wheel cover is in good nick but I have misplaced the original jack and wheel brace. The chrome wheels have gone rusty around the edges and really need replacing to make the car look it`s best. The bumper bars have a few marks on them and while still shiny and polish up ok. they could do with a chrome job to bring them back to looking new. The original quadrajet carby . with a rebuild kit. also comes with it as does the original radio. The car is registered until May next year and is advertised elsewhere so it may be redrawn from the auction early.
