EQUIPMENT
Electric windows. Period style Durrent door mirrors. Cd player and speakers. Interior lights. Carrera RS decals. Rear seat lap belts. Front and rear lightweight bumpers. Early front wings. Duck-tail spoiler. long-nose bonnet. Air conditioning (can be hooked up or left idle).

EXTERIOR
This example has been backdated to RS spec from a SC model without the usual cutting of the front panel. the reason for this is. the prices of rust free original cars are climbing rapidly. so if needed the car could be brought back to the original SC spec without too much work. keeping the original. accident and rust free shell intact.

This stunning Carrera RS recreation is presented in the classic combination of Grand Prix white paintwork and all the correct Mexico blue decals. With original RS prices going through the roof. this recreation proves excellent value for money and looks every bit the part. What helps set this example apart is that it was built using a completely rust-free. non-sunroof. solid 911 SC base. This has not been salvaged from a run-down example in need of restoration. As such. the bodywork remains in excellent condition all round and is also notably clean on the underside.

The ‘backdate' conversion includes a lightweight RS long bonnet. chrome headlamp rims. the correct lightweight RS front and rear bumpers. lightweight front wings. and the essential ducktail boot lid. All the panels have been fitted perfectly. with no unsightly gaps to be found. This fine example looks and feels everybit like a 70's car should!

INTERIOR
The simple black SC interior remains in fantastic original condition. the only change being the simplified RS style door cards. The seats are free from any damage or excessive wear and still feel supportive. The dashboard is showing no signs of sun damage or cracks and all of the dials and switchgear operate as they should.

The black carpet is clean. tidy and in amazing condition throughout the interior.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This example is equipped with the original 3-litre fuel injected engine that came as standard with the SC's. At the first turn of the key the engine burst into life with a familiar flat-6 rumble and idles up to temperature correctly. The engine is dry and does not suffer from the usual oil leaks associated with these early air-cooled engines.

The 5-speed manual gearbox pulls through the gears with ease and feels precise to operate.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The 16" Fuchs alloy wheels are in good condition all round with Mexico blue centres to compliment the decals and a gorgeous deep dish. The wheels are shod in a set of matching tyres. all of which have a good amount of tread remaining.

All the brakes have been replaced. as such they feel strong and competent. pulling the car to a standstill quickly and smoothly.

HISTORY FILE
The Porsche was first registered in 1978 as a standard 911 SC example. It has since been 'backdated' to the 1973 Carrera RS style.

In the history file there is the original Porsche document holder to be found. including owners manuals and booklets. There is also a replacement service booklet showing 5 service stamps. the last being carried out at 83k miles.
