EXTERIOR
Looking at this BMW convertible is like travelling back in time to the 1980's. it is in true time warp condition. It is still wearing the original coat of paint and has been kept garaged at the same owners house from new. The car has been meticulously maintained in every aspect and is undoubtedly the best E30 Convertible we have ever seen. The paint is almost 100%. the only sign of use being a couple of very light chips to the leading edge of the bonnet. All of the chrome work and plastic trim is excellent with only a small amount of pitting on the rear bumper. All of the glass and lights are crystal clear and free from chips or marks.

INTERIOR
The time warp condition continues inside and you are instantly greeted with that new car smell and the sight of fresh supple leather. The seat bolsters are unworn and even the steering wheel. gear knob and pedals look like new. The dash and all of the plastic trim retain their matt sheen and show no sign of wear. In the 80's BMW offered radios as an option and this car was spec'd without. so you just have the sound of that sweet straight six to listen too.

The boot area is like new. the carpet pristine and all the tools present and correct with the spare wheel unused. Included in the tool kit is the very rare sight of the dealer supplied yellow duster that appears never to have been used. There is also an original 1980's boxed BMW maintenance charger supplied with the car. the first time we've seen one of these at 4 Star.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
This E30 has a maintenance schedule like no other. despite only covering 26. 43 there are 29 service stamps. 13 additional oil changes. 11 brake fluid changes and 6 cam belt changes. As you would expect the car runs like a Swiss watch and after a 2 hour mechanical inspection the only fault we could find was a slightly slow wiper arm which has since been repaired.

You will note that the engine and under bonnet area are still coated in the original layer of wax protection which has done a first class job of preserving all the components and inner bodywork. The underside of the car is also fully protected and free from any signs of corrosion.

WHEELS. TYRES & BRAKES
The alloys are all immaculate and are shod in a matching set of Pirelli P6000 tyres that all have an average of 6mm of tread. The brakes show no real wear and the brake fluid was last replaced in March 2012.

HISTORY FILE
This E30 was purchased at Chandlers BMW in June 1990 by Mr Rodney French and it has stayed in his position from new only covering 26k miles. He has had the car religiously serviced with Chandlers every year and most years has also had an additional oil and filter change. There are a staggering total of 59 entries in the original service book. all BMW Chandlers other than the last 2 entries from a well known BMW specialist.

To back up the service book there is a huge file containing every service invoice and all the MOT certificates. The BMW document holder contains all of the owner's manuals and guides all of which look untouched. there is even a new Chandlers BMW key ring.

The last service was in March 2013 at 26. 49 miles and the cambelt was replaced in March 2013 at 24. 00 miles.
