I have great pleasure in offering my pride and joy MGB Roadster. Owned by me since 2005. Since I have owned the car I have had a full engine rebuild completed by head racing developments at Ely. which cost me £1100. The engine was then tuned by Matt Smith sports cars.   I have also had a bare metal respray in stunning tarleton red. I really do not want to sell this car. however it has dawned on me that as I have only done 7 miles since the last MOT. it is time for somebody else to appreciate this fast appreciating classic.

Since the engine rebuild I have covered about 300 miles and this really is another reason for the car to go to a good home and actually be used. I can faithfully say the car drives very very well. as good as one of these can drive.

This model benefits from overdrive and a stainless steel exhaust.

Last year I had a new hood and the alloy wheels refurbished. I have also had the front face of the seats re trimed. the interior panels refurbished. It goes without saying the car has wanted for nothing whilst in my ownership.

When I bought the car. I also bought it with the knowledge it was running on a heritage chassis. of which I have docuemented proof.

In short I can guarantee that the winning bidder will be genuinely happy with this vehicle as I have been.

Vehicle Exterior

The exterior condition of this vehicle is excellent for its age. It is however not a new car and does have the odd mark. chip. car park type dent consumerate with age and mileage. There is a very small hair line crack in the passenger quarter light. I have this and will include it with the sale. The hood is in perfect condition and I also have a matching tonneau cover. If I were keeping the car. there is nothing that I would do as ive already done all the hard bits!!. To summarise in general it is a bright looking car and a hard car to find for sale.

Vehicle Interior

The condition of the interior of this vehicle is great. all seats are nice and clean. no major rips or tears ( there is a tiny tear on the bottom of the drivers seat base). As with all old vehicles there are still a few things that need doing to make perfect. There are a few marks on the dash board and steering wheel. Nothing major. however I like to try and get things as good as they can be. I also have 2 new chrome windscreen air vents that will be included in the sale. In my opinion the car could also benefit from a new front wiring loom.

I can guarantee that this car is HPI clear. guaranteeing that it has not been recorded in an accident. has outstanding finance or that it has been stolen. I will be happy to provide the HPI certificate to prove this.

This vehicle is tax exempt and is currently taxed until July 2013.

I am based in Wimbotsham. Downham Market Norfolk. The nearest train station is Downham Market. and this is on a direct line from London Kings Cross. The journey is about 1hr 40min & should cost less than £40.  I can collect the winning bidder from the station.

Delivery

I am able to arrange delivery on a £1. 25 + VAT per mile basis. If you wish to calculate the cost please have a look at the mileage from our postcode (PE34 3PZ) to your postcode. using google maps.

As an example if google maps say the distance is 100 miles. the cost of delivery would be 100 x £1. 25 = £125 + 20% VAT = £150.

If you are unsure. please send me your postcode and we will be more than happy to calculate the cost for you.

Please note the maximum distance we are able to deliver is 200 miles from PE34 3PZ.

If you wish to take advantage of delivery. then this car must be paid for before the delivery company collect the vehicles. as the delivery company are unable to facilitate any form of financial transaction.
