The engine is a specially built 1380cc (Graham Russell) and has a lightened Cooper S crank. lightened and balanced rods. and lightened flywheel. The head has been ported and polished. and was also fully rebuilt. including k-lined valve guides and uprated springs.   It has hardened exhaust valve seats to allow for unleaded fuel. and has 10:1 compression.   The camshaft is an RE13. and it has the usual Weber and extractors. Exhaust is new. and has good ground clearance.  Fuel pump is a Facet blue label (high volume/low pressure).   When run in on the dyno at Graham Russel's it showed a very flat torque curve. and produced almost exactly 100 bhp.  Recent rebuild of gearbox by rebuilt by Mini Classic. Ermington.   The bodyshell is partially prepared for appendix J use but was never raced. It is very solid with no rust.  The only visible non-standard features are a stiffening brace across the floor behind the seats. a brace behind the full width dash. and a recess in the firewall to allow room for the Weber.   The doors are the later wind-up window model. It has new carpets. door seals and window rubbers.   Interior is lined with black “autopanel” (the hard felt used for boot linings in many modern cars). and it has dark tinted windows.  New Cobra buckets seats and inertia roll front seat belts. Brakes are exceptional. with 10” front discs and Camira alloy calipers (same as Commodore but with cooling fins).   Front suspension is height adjustable and it has adjustable caster bars and about 1. 5 degrees negative camber (front and rear).  Rear brakes use front mini brake shoes (which are wider than the rears) but are otherwise standard.   13” wheels allow wheels with Simes tyres with plenty of tread left. Paintwork is OK but could probably benefit from a respray. Registered until 23/5/2015 This is a fast car and a lot of fun. I have not used the car for over a year and it is stored in my garage.
