The overall condition of this Mercedes-Benz 450 SL is pretty darn amazing. Because it is the first year model of this body style. it is destined to be MUCH more collectible. Check out this document as it explains the investment value of the 450SL. Read The 107 - The Panzerwagen. Per this document. this car would be classified as a "high quality" $19. 00 value. It is has matching numbers on the various parts of the chassis. Although it's not perfect. or concourse. the body is very straight and has only very few minor blemishes. Considering this is almost a half-century unrestored car. it is amazing inside and out. The interior smells only of vintage Mercedes! It has smooth paint with only a few minor spots that show its patina. The undercarriage has been protected and has no rot or rust! Although there are very minor trim imperfections that can be easily remedied with your own Tender Lovin' Care. the foundation of this 450SL is rock solid: Solid Engine & Transmission. We have driven this car several hundred miles to ensure everything is working properly. The big block V8 engine starts promptly. and idles smoothly. The transmission shifts powerfully and smoothly. This 450SL starts right up from stone cold and runs and drives nice and straight! We just had it run through maintenance and had all new high-quality parts installed: spark plugs. wires. distributor cap & rotor. intake air/fuel regulators and a bunch of other wear and tear items on the engine were replaced with brand new high quality parts. It runs AWESOME. It shows 63. 68 miles on the odometer. From the condition of the interior. the wear on the gas & brake pedal. and seats etc. as well as the exterior. they appear to be original miles. The brakes respond sharply and feel tight. The convertible top comes off nicely and the soft top is in excellent condition with clear vinyl windows. Everything else appears to work properly. As with all used cars no express warranties are implied. Do yourself a favor and have an inspection done to give you that piece of mind that the car is all there. Exterior Description

The exterior of this Mercedes 450SL is simple. Even though it is almost a half-century old. it looks amazing! No major chips. scratches. or dents. It has very smooth and glossy paint as you can tell in the photos. It has a wonderful patina and only shows it's age in a few spots. There are slight imperfections in the paint as is typical with a car of this age. but it really has a splendid curb appeal. There is some small imperfections on the chrome bumpers. but the lines and spacing are good and the body of the car doesn't have any damage in any area. It appears to have never been fully restored so what you see is only the result of great care and maintenance over the years. The undercarriage is black and free of rot and rust. Interior Description

The inside is near perfect! The seats and carpets are very clean. NOTE:Although the driver seat shows some repair. we will have an original pristine skin put on prior to delivery. IT WILL MATCH THE PASSENGER SEAT PERFECTLY! It is also missing the driver sun visor. but we will get one installed prior to delivery. Some of the buttons seem loose/brittle and may need be replaced (these are easy to replace and very minor). This is a Non-smoker so it smells like vintage Mercedes.
