This is a 1970 Maserati Ghibli that has been in our family for the last 25 years. Only driven on sunny days. but has sat the last 2 years because my 83 year old father thinks its getting a "little too big" for him.

This is the very desirable series II fitted with A/C. Power Steering. Brakes. nbsp;adjustable column and revised Weber carbs. Always serviced by a local previous Alfa/Fiat dealer. The last time it was there (spring '11) it had all fluids changed. coolant. brake. transmission fluid etc. Two new fuel pumps as one began to function intermediately were also fitted.

Runs super strong. goes through all the gears properly. does not smoke at all and leaves no oil when parked !?!  This is a very low stressed motor and is a pussy cat in the city compared to it's high strung competitor. nbsp;the Ferrari Daytona or Lamborghini Miura. It is a 4. 7. and my Dad tells me that a very well respected Maserati Expert (His initials are K. F. . e-mail me for details) states that the smogged 4. 9's were prone to crankshaft failures at high RPM. That's only whispered by very few enthusiasts. The body is rust free. the paint has some scratches and chips and minor peeling in some spots but is very shiny and presentable.   Never touched up in the 25 years we have owned it. a testament to storing the vehicle properly in a heated and cooled garage that was at my fathers house for 23 of the 25 years we have had it!  Most of the Anti-rust undercoating "Tar" that was used at the factory is still there. Of the 1100 hundred examples that were produced. maybe only 500 remain. I'm sure their are considerably less of the honest driver condition examples left. Low Reserve so Bid to Buy it!
