This car has to be seen to be believed !!!

Here's one for the serious car collector. THE most important Ford Mustang in the world is the legendary Shelby “Green Hornet”; a car that was used by Ford not once but twice as a development vehicle. the second time in 68/69 by none other than Carroll Shelby; used to develop independent rear suspension. outboard rear disc brakes and fuel injection. He also dropped in a 7ltr Cobra 428 big block. it was painted a darker shade of green. its original colour was “Lime Gold” he also added a black vinyl roof. so with a 7ltr sting in the tail and with that colour scheme. Shelby christened the car “The Green Hornet”. Unfortunately Ford did not put the car into production so the Green Hornet was heading for the crusher. however somehow it escaped that terrible fate and made its way into main stream motoring. being used by a family for many years. until garaged and forgotten about. Many years later the owner realised the significance of the car and had it restored to its former glory. the car is now owned by Craig Jackson; CEO of Barrett and Jackson classic car auctions. it was auctioned in January 2013 where it reached 1. 8 million dollars. failing to sell; as the reserve was 2. 5 million dollars! So what have we here? This is an astonishing “one off” of a “one off”.   This recreation is unbelievable in every respect. a true testament to the amazing skill of the gentleman that undertook the 3 year project to produce this amazing Mustang. A total ground up nut and bolt rebuild. I won't bore you with silly details about the car I will let the pictures do the talking. although there is one fact that I simply can't miss out. Since its completion in 2009 the car has covered 3. 5 miles. that's correct 3. 5 miles. so in reality it is a brand new car!

I have searched the internet to try and find another Mustang that may be remotely similar to this remarkable Mustang. but the only one I can find is the original Green Hornet. In fact the Muscle Machine Magazine feature stated that it's "Virtually impossible to even clone one" because of the complexity of the work carried out to the original by Shelby automotive.
