•A very rare special order American car
•Fabulous extras list from new
•You're not going to see another in The Goodwood Revival carpark!
Only built for a few years between 1964 and 1965. the Avanti was a very rare model built to order. Described by Studebaker literature at the time as ‘America's only 4 passenger high performance personal car!'. it came from the active mind of the then president of Studebaker. Sherwood Egbert. At the time it was a spectacular automobile. with a glass fibre body and Dunlop disc brakes all round.

When Studebaker ceased to produce cars in 1963. a new company was formed to produce the Avanti under its own name. All of these cars were very much bespoke. with a variety of different engine options through its production life. They are commonly referred to as the Avanti II.

Fitted with period chrome wire wheels. a copy of the original build sheet in the file confirms it was supplied new with the following options - air conditioning climatizer. electric windows. push button radio. power steering. sunband windscreen and rear window along with tinted side windows. Delivered new to Santa Monica. California the Avanti lived in the perfect climate for classic cars. Purchased by the current owner from Arizona. he imported it to the UK in 2005. Extremely well cared for and regularly serviced since it's importation it is reluctantly being sold to make way for further additions to the collection
