This is your chance in a lifetime to own a low mileage ALL Original 1985 Monte Carlo SS that has never. I mean never has been driven in the rain/snow (was only wet from a garden hose) and after you see the 152 Pictures that I have on Photo Bucket you will certainly agree with me. Let me start by saying that this car was purchased new by an adult. driven sparingly. well kept. babied. always covered in a climate controlled building and never abused as was the case from the 65 year old gentlemen I purchased it from about two years ago.

I have all receipts of the oil changes. mainly from an Oldsmobile dealership dating back as far as 1999 and with the odometer reading 22. 31 miles. The car was also in the dealership to have the AC re-charged several times with new freon over a 13 year span and the last time it was updated to the R134A. The last time it was in the dealership was 7/2012 for a complete coolant flush along with a replacement of the original thermostat with new hose clamps. I have a receipt of new Goodyear Eagle GT2 installed on 5/20/05 with the odometer reading 32. 35 miles and I do have the original Goodyear Eagle date coded tires that will go with the car. they have good tread left yet. but have some very small weather checking due from aging. When I bought the car it had no records of the transmission ever being flushed. so as anal as I am when it comes to maintenance. I had my mechanic flush the entire system (8/14/2012). change the filter and added Synthetic Transmission fluid. he also adjusted the throttle valve cable because it was shifting in to overdrive a little early (20mph) and now it works/shifts great into overdrive at about 45mph as is should.

I have put about 300 miles on the car. the engine/exhaust has NO lifter noise. knocking or unusual noises. it starts. runs. drives/handles and acts as if it has about 10. 00 original miles on it and yes EVERTHING works on this car (event the clock!!!) all the way down to the 3. 73 positraction rear axle as it should with exception of the AC needing re-charging.

As you walk around the car you will see ALL of the original factory Black Lacquer paint with NO checking or cracking anywhere as you will know right away that this car has lived a very sheltered life. ALL of the factory stripes still in outstanding condition with no peeling or cracking anywhere. however I did find a little fading (I mean a very little fading) on the front fender going over the wheel well. but I am one of the pickiest guys you will ever find. I could not find any dents in the car. a few rock chips across the bottom from no having any mud flaps. which is normal and the car was under coated from the factory. When I bought this car. the previous owner told me that he backed the car into the garage one day and the rear spoiler rubber against the bench scratching it about 2” across the top. noting major by no means (it was touched up and hardly noticeable). but I just wanted to let you know.   All of the door. trunk. and hood gaps are original. looks prefect (well as perfect as 1985 was for GM) and I could NOT find ANY bondo/mud in the car anywhere or ANY over spray from previous paint work ever being done to the car.

What can I say about the interior. ‘WOW' it looks just as new as 1985 with NO cuts. rips tares. fading or cracks anywhere to be found. including the dash and get this. the headliner is NOT falling down!!! Hell. it even smells like a new car inside all thanks to the previous owners not having the nasty habit of smoking inside the car. The steering wheel looks to be just like new with no shiny spots from wear and all of the gauge faces/plastic lenses have no fading. All of the glass is flawless with NO chips cracks or damage of any kind and it is all original date coded including the windshield.

As you look under the hood you will see all of the “still new looking” ups code stickers from the factory. this original 305HO motor is ALL factory correct unmolested. untouched. never painted or altered anywhere!!! The ONLY thing NOT original of course is the thermostat (however it is GM) and the battery. Looking at the pictures under the car you will see that the bottom of it is just as nice. original as the outside and inside are. maybe a little dusty as what do you expect. it was never wet before! As you can see the close up of the original mufflers. they still have the factory part numbers/date codes. when was the last time you have seen that on a 30 year old car? Well I guess you should see this on a car that averaged about 1200 miles a year. When looking inside the trunk you will find all of the factory under coating on the floor. inner fenders along with the perfect trunk mat and the original spare tire that has never been out of its bed or ever hit the pavement with all of its little knobies still showing.

The car will come with all of its documentation. Build sheet. Warranty booklet. Owners Manual. two sets of the original GM keys. all four of the original tires and all of the service records.   I would love to keep this car (I probably will if my reserve is not met). however I have run out of room in my shop and I ‘think' it is time to sell one of them to make room for a new arrival. No disappointments here…. you will be getting one of the finest cars built back in 1985 and your investment will always go up in value if you treat the same way I do!

I have a very good friend that lives in Texas and all he does is transport cars one at a time on a 20ft trailer all over the US.
