International Harvestor Pickup for sale

Current customer rating: current rating for this car(2.1) based on 327 votes

I have this International Harvester Pickup for sale. This 1975 International Harvester 3/4 ton pickup. This truck is an original farm truck that only has over 66600 miles on it. Please refer to the pictures for condition. This truck is a pretty solid truck as the floors are still in good shape and the cab corners are not rotted away. There is some surface rust and some minor in the rockers. I have a key for the truck. The camper shell is a bonus. It goes with the truck and is fair condition. I have the original owner manual.

This would be a great tow vehicle for a vintage trailer.

The diesel would be great for hills and long grades for those larger trailers. It is a standard transmission with a clutch. but could be converted to an automatic transmission.

Engine: I have not started the pickup. It was converted to Diesel by the original owner. person whom I purchased it from. It had set for at least to 5 years if not more. Look at the photos. It seems to be a well done installation. Toro Flow 478 cubic inch V6 1967 GMC diesel engine. "Toro Flow" V6. It was a product of the GMC truck division The Toro was available in GMC medium duty trucks in the mid/late 60's. Was also an optional power plant in the New Idea UniSystem". large Hyster forklifts. and probably other stuff of that era.

Transmission: Standard. two wheel drive model.

Interior: Original interior. see photos. Tack and gauges go with pickup. Will need interior replacement.

Exterior: Original white color. Some surface rust in a few areas. see photos. There is some minor rust in the rockers and edges of the hood. Very repairable. Grilles. stainless and bumpers very good condition.

Title: I have a California title for vehicle. which is clear. I have as non-op which means if you register in California you need to pay current registration fees to operate on the highway.

History: In the end. however. Pickup and Travelall production ended on 1975. with only about 6. 00 made. The Light Line was unable to compete with the Big Three in the light truck market; IHC's market share in this segment had never been higher than 9. 5% and had dropped to 4. 1% by 1969. Corporate infighting and the 1973-1974 oil crisis served to further undermine International's market. meaning that the Light Line had to be discontinued in spite of the marketing efforts. The oil crisis particularly affected International's working trucks. which were the heaviest and least fuel efficient in the market. Another issue of concern was the truck-centered nature of International's dealers. while most competing light trucks were beginning to be sold to suburban buyers in more alluring and better located auto show rooms. International Harvester instead chose to focus on heavier trucks and the popular Scout. which continued to be built until 1980. This was last of the IH pick ups and limited amount of them where made.

This truck is for sale locally and subject to cancel.
