This original convertible is an early 1954 series two model . ith some great upgrades and some nice extras. The restoration was started 2008 and completed 2010 to use as a wedding car . It was stripped to nothing and completely rebuilt . Completed in just under two years . t made the said wedding with two weeks to spare . There is a full photographic restoration timeline in a folder and has a 6 page full colour article in a classic car magazine . The V5 states two owners from new . Some very rare parts are still on this car . The front and back wings are different to the more common later ones . hey have a larger aperture and are like hens teeth . All too often as they cant be found they are replace with fibreglass. Not on this one . It is all steel and rare to see. There are a lot of spares including roof frames . pecifically for splitscreen again rare . There is full engine 803cc . The car is quite personal with its chrome period extras . The car is also painted in an original colour. With original convertibles becoming scarce this is of super quality with no issues and ready to enjoy

Engine & Transmission
The original 803cc engines were known to be underpowered . ence the more common morris 1000 came along . This engine has had a complete rebuild in 2012 and was bored to 950 cc and took the bhp to 40h/p to match the later models . This makes it really nice to use . Other upgrades include electric fuel pump . onverted to alternator instead of dynamo . The whole of the braking system and suspension bushes and shocks etc etc have been replaced. Also the gearbox has been rebuilt at time of resto including new clutch etc .
Wheels. Tyres & Brakes
The wheels have had a refurb back in 2010 and were given a new set of radials.
Exterior
The body was stripped to a bare shell . Every bit of rust was cut out and replace with metal . all photos in file . One original steel wing was sourced from New Zealand . New floor pan sections. new sills . ew roof . tc etc. The body was zinc primed . hen painted in original Cleveland Grey . The addition of some period extras really set the car off and give it it character. these include the bootrack . unvisor. illar mounted spot . tc . If bells and whistles are not your thing they can easily be removed. But we feel all these period features make the car stand out from the others . There are no rust issues . All the brightwork is in excellent order .
Interior & Equipment
The interior is in great shape and during resto has been kept largely original . The quirky modern upgrade was done when recovering the seats. They were done with stiffer and more cushioning as they often sag very low . At this time hidden away so knowone can see are heated seats. ith dash mounted switch . The indicators and semaphores all work too.
