Minuses:

Dent-repaired area under the driver side kick vent (see pics). Bondo is cracked. there is good metal underneath though. bondo was just added to get the final smooth finish

Rear wheel wells were slightly cut to accommodate larger tires. This is only a minus if you're a purist and is actually a plus if you plan to use this off-road like it is capable of.

Left rear quarter panel has non-matching paint. (lower left rear sill was replaced. 2” square stainless tubing welded in for reinforcement. common FJ40 repair).

Speedometer needle is broken as mentioned above. mileage is unknown

Tires have good tread but they are old and should be replaced

Older paint job. clearcoat is peeling on hood

Some minor wear areas like small tears in rear vinyl seats as shown. shifter boot cracked as shown in pics. see pics for interior cosmetic condition. overall very nice.

Light visual smoke when it is throttled hard. only mentioned for accuracy. Being an original F-Engine it uses lead additive. Engine is in excellent shape.

This FJ40 saw limited use on the occasional weekend in the last several years. It sat for about a year before this listing but my friend poured some gas in the carb and it started right up. This is a good starting. running. and driving rig that needs very little to make it a head-turner that is ready for street and trails alike. It shifts well with no slippage and handles great. It has the original working keys. and also the manuals as shown. If you're looking for an FJ40 that is actually a joy to drive. this is a great choice.
