Professionally Restored

MGA's ushered the MG car company into a new era. presenting the world with a sports car that was incredibly well-balanced. light. and nimble. and which had performance and handling eons beyond the T-series cars that preceded them.

This 1959 MGA Roadster was restored to it's original specifications 10 years ago. and the restoration has held up extremely well. The joke with British cars is that there's always something going wrong. but this is truly one of the best-sorted MGA's we've ever had the pleasure of working with.   The car makes fantastic oil pressure. with no oil leaks. and the transmission is in excellent condition. shifting smoothly between all gears with no grinding. A mild cam was installed. along with different valves. so that it could better process modern fuel. As you can see in the pictures. the engine compartment is very clean. which speaks to the fact that. after the restoration. the car was driven infrequently and otherwise cared for while in storage. Both the car and the engine look as though they've only got 500 miles on them since they were overhauled.

The car has true wire wheels which show no bend or shimmy when driving on the road – they are straight. clean. and a very nice asset to the car. The tires are brand new and grab the road in a way that allow the vehicle to be both leisurely and adrenaline-pumping.

Due to the car's minimal use over the last 10 years. the paint is in great condition. It shines like-new with only very minor imperfections. such as the occasional ding from a rogue pebble on the highways or a knick from an unruly bush. The interior is very nice – comfortable. clean. and well-kept. The car comes with both a convertible top and a tonneau cover. both of which are in like-new condition.

Overall. the restoration was very well done and has left us with a car that's both fantastic to drive and beautiful to look at. If you like MGA's – and especially if you like MGA's you can actually drive without a mechanic in the backseat – then you'll be hard-pressed to find a better option this summer.
