1977 MG MIDGET BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED WITH NO RESERVE!!!!

Sale price: $3,701.00 make an offer

Seller's notes: "Currently is missing the round knob that fits onto the drivers side window crank handle, and both the passenger and driver side panic grip handles are missing the small plastic trim caps that cover the screws that attach them to the door panel. There is minor pitting on the aluminum steering wheel cross bar. The rubber pedal covers need replaced on the brake, gas, and clutch pedals. The rest of this car looks, drives, shifts, and works as it should, the steering wheel is slightly off-center but the alignment is true. It is a beautiful frame off restoration with everything gone through and brought up to standard. The car isn't "like new", and it isn't "brand new". It is however, an excellent example of what a frame off restoration should look like when it is done. Very minor nick in the paint around the drivers side door and quarter panel. The key sometimes sticks in the ignition cylinder."

NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! NO RESERVE! THIS INCREDIBLE AUTOMOBILE WILL SELL TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER AT THE END OF THIS AUCTION.

A BEAUTIFUL FRAME OFF RESTORATION OF THE BRITISH CLASSIC MG MIDGET. TRULY RUST FREE AND READY TO ROLL. A NEW STARTER. A NEW TOP. AND A GLEAMING BRITISH GREEN PAINT JOB WITH LIKE NEW MICHELINS MAKE THIS YOUR READY TO ENJOY "BARN FIND" WITHOUT THE COST AND TIME OF YOUR OWN RESTORATION.

Though this is a frame-off restoration. the Midget retains all it's British character. No one has tried to make it something it is not. It was a straight forward restoration with no engine swaps. or other devaluating alterations. It has a new top. a new starter. and a like new set of Michelin Reinforce 175/70/13 tires. The brite work around the Midget belies it's age. The body is very straight with no dents. or damage. It has a solid. rust-free chassis. floorboards. trunk well. and body panels. Maybe not a million dollar paint job. but. a very good one. Some minor cosmetic issues that need addressed are: minor pitting on the aluminum steering wheel cross bars. Currently is missing the round knob that fits onto the drivers side window crank handle. and both the passenger and driver side panic grip handles are missing the small plastic trim caps that cover the screws that attach them to the door panel. The rubber pedal covers need replaced on the brake. gas. and clutch pedals. There is a very minor knick and scratch in the paint around the drivers door and quarter panel area but. so small it was hard to depict with a photo.  The key has got hung-up in the ignition cylinder a couple times since we bought the vehicle. and it can be difficult to remove when that happens. Other than that all the vehicle systems. both mechanically. and electrically work as intended.

The interior is in excellent shape. as you can see from the pictures of the dash and door panels. as well as the seats. and carpet. The engine cranks right up. runs very smooth and has no known internal engine noises. fluid or exhaust leaks. The clutch is strong. and the manual transmission is easy to operate shifts smooth.  This MG brakes well. and the tires have plenty of tread. It comes with a clear Indiana title  that has the mileage reading as "EXEMPT" . though we have no reason to doubt that the odometer reflects the actual mileage on the vehicle. This is a quality example of a classy restoration to a classic automobile. And. it is ready. and fun to drive. This Midget comes with a nice breathable  fabric car cover. and will be professionally detailed prior to delivery.  The Midget has already been serviced. and safety checked.  Prices for these Midgets are remarkably cheap. and represent one of the most economical ways to get into vintage motoring.
