- Up for sale I have a beautiful original factory black on red. genuine 66 Impala SS fastback coupe.

- The car still has the factory 327ci V8 with a 3 speed auto trans. which I have been told is matching numbers. Also has factory full twin exhaust system. Engine runs very nice. feels smooth and strong and doesn't blow any smoke or have any leaks. The engine seems mostly stock accept for the addition of an Eldebrock alloy inlet manifold. MSD ignition and Accell HEI distributor. The car also has factory power steering and power drum brakes which work great.

- This is a very nice example of an original untouched Impala SS coupe. which are becoming extremely hard to find in this condition. the body of the car is very clean. with original floors and panels etc. with no evidence of rust issues. The car has been living in California for the majority of its life and this is made evident with a very clean and dry underside.

- The interior of the car. seems original and is in fantastic condition for its age. there is no damage. or splits in any of the trim. It still has the factory SS bucket seats and SS center console with the factory floor sift auto.

- The car still has the factory wheels. with SS hubcaps in great condition.

- Everything on the car works well for its age. all lights. indicators. wipers gauges. as well as will windows etc.

- The bumpers. grill. and chrome on the car are in good condition and are very straight with no major damage.

- The paint on the car is very tidy and has a nice even finish. It looks as though it's had a respray at some point in the past. and does show some minor signs of wear and age. but overall the finish is nice. and the body is very straight and honest. There are just a couple of small scratches and scuffs as you would expect with an older paint job.

- The Impala also has full Australian import approval and has full QLD L08 certification. so is therefore easy to register and get on the road.

- Overall this is a beautiful original car. and would make a perfect cruiser or weekend show car. Black on red is one of the most desirable colour combinations for Chevrolets. in combination as a genuine fastback SS this is a very rare opportunity to own a great car and at this price the car is incredible value and will definitely increase in value for years to come.
